I am a patient, kind, and loving 33-year-old American woman looking for child care work. I’ve been working in children’s care, entertainment, and instruction for more than 10 years. English is my first language and I am fluent in Spanish.
I am a professionally performing and classically trained singer with experience performing, teaching, recording and touring. I have run my own business offering private voice lessons for the past 5 years. I love the outdoors and long walks, playing soccer which I did competitively for 10 years, and swimming which I did competitively for several years, including at university.
When home with my professional musician husband, I enjoy writing and practicing music, playing video games, card games, and board games. A few times a year I work as a freelance makeup artist, a skill leftover from my time working as a face painter for a children’s entertainment company. I LOVE to cook using whole foods only, as I believe processed foods are the cause of many health issues.
As a caregiver, I’m experienced with care for children of all ages. This experience includes potty training, bathing & bedtime, art projects, attending playgroups, light housekeeping, cooking, running errands— and for instruction— voice lessons, tutoring in Spanish, swim lessons, and more. Have been trained in first aid and CPR in America. I follow gentle parenting and child need-based care, as well as life style training (meaning I have kids help with cooking, cleaning and other chores).
Unfortunately I cannot currently offer school pickups as I’m still new to the country and haven’t yet gotten my UK license. This is in the process of changing and I have 15 years of driving experience. However, for now I’m looking for a family with needs inside the home, preferably in the town I live so I can take a bus or have my husband drop me off easily.
My Experience
I started my child care experience 10 years ago in a licensed nursery, in which I worked full-time for 3 years. While there I was trained in CPR and first aid training, and attended many childcare workshops. After that I switched to private childcare. I've been a nanny to several families and have experience with caring for children and adults with autism or other special needs. I work for myself as a singing teacher, and have 3 years past experience working for a children’s entertainment company as a princess, mascot, face painter and party host.
