My Experience

I have experience caring for children through both my academic training and previous babysitting roles, which has given me a strong understanding of how to support children in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.

Both my Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies and completing 6 months student teaching, enabled me to work with children of different ages in a classroom setting. This involved supporting learning, planning and delivering engaging lessons, encouraging children’s confidence and independence, promoting positive behaviour, and adapting to meet individual needs. These placements strengthened my communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills while helping me build positive relationships with children and their families.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have previous babysitting experience, caring for children of all ages and some with SEN. My responsibilities included supervising play, organising age-appropriate activities, helping with homework, preparing meals and snacks, following bedtime routines, and ensuring children were happy, safe, and well cared for at all times. I understand the importance of creating a calm, fun, and trusting environment where children feel comfortable and parents feel confident that their children are in safe hands.

My A Level in Health and Social Care has also provided me with valuable knowledge of child development, safeguarding, effective communication, and promoting children’s health and wellbeing, all of which I apply in my childcare approach.

I am passionate about providing high-quality childcare that supports children’s learning, development, and happiness while giving parents reassurance and peace of mind.
