My Experience

Most recently, I was a nanny for a family with two infants from June to September 2019 (pre-COVID), where I would do nursery drop offs and pick ups as well as organising days out, preparing meals and doing the usual bedtime routine. I loved working with this family and it proved to me my capabilities of looking after multiple infants at once.
I was also an au-pair in France for a month the previous year looking after an infant around the clock. I would feed, change and dress him in the mornings, take him on outings or play with his toys, bathe and put him to bed in the evenings. They were a wonderful family and welcomed me immediately. This was my favourite work experience by far and would love a nannying post similar to this.
Previous to this, I was a weekly babysitter for a pre-teen with autism, so I got to know her routine and needs very quickly and we developed a wonderful friendship which we still have today.
Between the ages of 16 and 18 I worked every school holiday and half term for a holiday club that provided childcare during these breaks. Here, I would be responsible for the safety and whereabouts for large groups of children aged 3-12. I lead activities and games of my own creation, prepared snacks and cleaned up the play areas and snack corner. I found this job very inspiring as I found my good communication with children and natural instincts could be used in a profession I care about.

My Qualifications

I am a BA Hons Modern Foreign Languages student studying French, Spanish and Italian.

My Availability

I am available to start work as a nanny from June onwards.

My Fees

• Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)

I work for minimum wage as long as I get stable and consistent hours. Happy to do housework and meal prep included.
