About Me

Hello, my name is Camila. I am originally from Colombia and have lived in the UK for over 20 years. I am also the proud mum of a wonderful two-year-old daughter, which has deepened my passion for caring for and supporting young children.

I have always enjoyed working with children and have gained experience through a variety of roles, including as an au pair, babysitter, and tutor in a Spanish club. After many years working in retail, becoming a mother inspired me to follow my passion and pursue a career in early years childcare.

I am currently working towards becoming a fully registered childminder. As part of my training and professional development, I am gaining valuable hands-on experience by working alongside an experienced registered childminder. This has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, learning through play, and the importance of providing high-quality childcare.

I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure, and valued. I believe every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to learn, explore, and develop at their own pace. I enjoy planning engaging activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while encouraging creativity, curiosity, and confidence.

As a bilingual Spanish and English speaker, I can also introduce children to basic Spanish language and culture through songs, stories, and play in a fun and natural way.

I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident when choosing childcare. I am committed to building positive relationships with families through open communication, trust, and partnership to ensure every child receives the best possible care and support.
