Amazing childminder!

Dawn has been an absolute treasure to our family, and we can't recommend her highly enough. She looked after our son from 10 months to 3 years old, and in that time, she became an important part of our lives—he loves her to bits!

From the moment you meet her, Dawn's positive and cheerful disposition is clear. She approaches every day as a new adventure for the children. They are constantly exploring the outdoors, with regular trips to the farm, the woods, and local playgroups and playgrounds. On days spent at home, her lovely cabin is filled with a fantastic variety of toys and costumes, and in the summer, the kids have a blast with sand and water play. Her home is always kept exceptionally clean and tidy.

Dawn's gentle but firm approach was exactly what our son needed. He was quite nervous and clingy in the beginning, and Dawn patiently carried him on her hip for the better part of his first year. She has high standards for manners and discipline, yet she always allows children to think for themselves and express their unique personalities.

Choosing Dawn was the best decision we could have made for our son's early years, and we are so grateful for the care she provided.

Best Childminder in Hertfordshire

Dawn is so incredible with my daughter. She has been looking after her since 10 months old. Dawn really cares for the children she looks after like her own. She is such a warm and welcoming person, I knew instantly upon meeting her that she was the one for us as a family. Knowing my daughter is safe and happy in Dawn's home and out on adventures outside, makes me feel at complete ease and relaxed. I can't recommend Dawn enough, she is fantastic!

Best person I could have for my son

Dawn looked after my little boy from 13 months to 4 years old. He loved her, she provides a homely setting and experience . I trusted Dawn with my boy and I do not regret it, she is reliable, very friendly, great with the children. Dawn makes sure that the kids are socialised and learning all the time going to play groups, meeting with other childminder, going to the farm etc… as a parent, it was easy to speak with Dawn, she has a lovely bubbly personality. “Dawnie” will forever be part of the family.

Fantastic Childcare provider

I met Dawn through my eldest child's primary school. Therefore when my youngest was born and it was time to return to work she was the obvious choice. She offers a warm caring homely environment. Our daughter was and is welcomed into Dawn's home as one of the family. The care Dawn offers is tailored to the children she is looking after. She works closely with us as parents to make sure that the care our little one receives is consistent with our approach, loving and just what our daughter needs.

As L goes through school I have no hesitation in asking Dawn to provide care through the holidays and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a Childminder.

Excellent

My son has been going to Dawn's since the age of 6 months and he absolutely loves it. As a parent I needed a child minder who would give my child the same love, affection and devotion that I hubris Don and Dawn is now like a second mother to him. He absolutely loves going to Dawn's and he thoroughly enjoys spending time with Dawn's family. The service is second to none and I thoroughly recommended Dawn.

Just Perfect!

My partner and I knew Dawn was right for us from the first time we met her. Our son went to her from 6 months old and he loved it from day one. I was very apprehensive about sending him at this early age, but Dawn gave me the confidence I needed to know my son would be ok. He is like one of the family now and I am so sad to have to leave. If my family's circumstances ever change, I wouldn't want anyone else to look after him. Her husband and two children are wonderful also and her home is safe and clean. I really couldn't ask for anything more!

Lucky to know her

I can thoroughly recommend Dawn. I met her at playgroup when our boys were 3 months old and I had no choice but to go back to work, I didn't want to use anyone else to look after my son.

Knowing someone first is a lucky step into such a trusting relationship between Mother and Childminder and Dawn is so honest, open, straightforward and thoughtful, I knew that my son would be well looked after.

She offers a child friendly house meaning that she hits the balance of cleanliness that requires little ones to have respect, but that is not too tidy that it doesn't have any warm and freedom for freeplay.

She allows the children to be social and meet others, and also spends time with them to bring them on with understanding the world.

I am sure that as I need her less and less (now that my son is at full time school), we will remain friends... it is hard not to like her!!!

Character reference

I met Dawn at the preschool our sons both attended and our friendship began there. Since I have known Dawn, although she is not a childminder to my children she has watched them on many occasion for me. She is very trustworthy and extremely reliable, fun, caring, and my 4 year old adores her. I have 1 year old twins who have also spent time with her and they can be very demanding but Dawn always keeps them happy and entertained. Her son Lucas, is a very loveable, kind and caring child who is absolutely brilliant and very gentle with my 1 year old twins and plays very well with my older son. As a family, Dawn, her partner and her two children are very welcoming and friendly. I very much recommend Dawn to those who wish for a safe, friendly, secure, fun environment for their child.
