About Me
We are a loving and fun family of four looking for someone to come and join our happy household from 17th June near Basingstoke, Hampshire. We have Max who is 2.5 years and Bella who is 5 years old (as of May ’24).
My Requirements
We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, caring, energetic, fun, tidy and disciplined. We want you to treat our children as if they were your own and help them develop into curious little people who feel safe and loved. We are ideally looking for someone who can become part of our household long-term.
Bella goes to school and observes private school holidays. Until September, you will have sole charge of Max. In September, Max will be going to the nursery in Bella’s school for 3-4 days a week.
Until September, we are looking for help on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7.45am – 6pm during term time and 8am – 6pm during school holidays. From September, we will be looking for 7.30am – 9am on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then 3.30pm – 6pm during term time and 8am – 6pm during school holidays.
Both Virginia (Mum) and Jeremy (Dad) work full-time though one of us is usually working from home (in another part of the house) at any one time. We are open to both live-in or live-out nanny options.
Essential to the role is the following:
• A current and clean UK driving licence
• First aid trained
• Up-to-date DBS
• A non-smoker
• Fluent in spoken and written English

Duties* will involve:
• Giving the children breakfast and taking Bella to school at 7.55am (with Max in car)
• Picking Bella up from school at 3.30pm (sometimes later depending on after school clubs)
• Taking sole charge for Max full time, feeding, entertaining him and keeping him safe
• Creating day-to-day development plans for Max and Bella (when home).
• Researching suitable classes in the area, outdoor activities and arranging play dates where possible. Using your imagination/training to come up with new ideas to entertain them to ensure variety in their weeks.
• Formulating weekly meal plans for the children, cooking nutritious and adventurous food and batch cooking for the freezer.
• Understanding and encouraging development milestones.
• Household duties: keeping the children’s bedrooms tidy and changing their sheets once a week. Maintaining the cleanliness of the living areas and tidying the toys/games away at the end of the day. Loading and emptying the dishwasher, keeping kitchen surfaces clean, cleaning up after the children’s meals, washing/hanging children’s clothes, folding and putting away clean clothes, laying school clothes out for the next day and ironing where appropriate.
• Bathing children before you leave at 6pm and getting them into pyjamas.
• Food shopping and occasional collection of children’s prescriptions from the pharmacy.
• Occasional Friday daytime and evening babysitting (paid separately at your hourly rate)
*Please note these duties are likely to evolve/change over time as the kids get older.
