About Me

I have worked in several primary schools for over 30 years and taught Nursery to lower Key Stage 2.I have held the position of Senco and have varied special needs experience particularly in relation to ADHD, Speech and Language needs and Dyslexia . I have worked as part of an independent therapy team where I held the position of educational consultant supporting children who needed access to alternative provision outside of the school setting. I have Elklan Speech and Language training and certification. I have undergone Safe Guarding training and have an enhanced DBS.
I was closely involved with toddler groups and pre schools when my own 3 children were young.I have a keen interest in the Early Years and have kept up to date with regular CPD training. I am an avid follower of Early Years research within the 0 to 7 age range which enhances my specialism in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.
I have worked as a nanny in recent years with 5 different families working with children from 0 to 7 years old. I have loved taking the children out and about, making use of outdoor spaces such as Pensthorpe and forest school . I have taken children to local toddler groups and Bounce and Rhyme at the library .
I love music and enjoy singing.I am a member of a small harmonise choir. I enjoy swimming and walking on the beach and in the countryside with our fox red labrador. I am an animal lover.
