My Requirements

We are a friendly family in Oatlands, Weybridge, looking for a reliable and caring nanny or babysitter to provide occasional wraparound childcare for our two daughters, aged 5 and 7.

This is not a regular or full-time position, as the days and hours will vary according to our work commitments. It could suit someone who works during the day and would like to earn some extra money, a student with suitable availability, or someone in early retirement who would enjoy occasional childcare work.

Likely hours may include:

- Ad hoc weekday evenings, usually between approximately 5.30pm and 7.00pm
- Occasional mornings, usually from 7.00am until 8.00/8.30am
- Occasional weekend hours
- Some additional daytime help during half-terms and school holidays

We aim to provide as much notice as possible, and occasional short-notice availability would be very helpful.

Typical duties may include:

- Collecting the girls from school/their after-school clubs
- Bringing them home and giving them dinner
- Helping with the early evening routine, including pyjamas and brushing teeth
- Looking after them until one of us returns home
- On occasional mornings, helping the girls get ready and taking them to school

Both schools are approximately 6m drive from our home and around 5m drive from each other. Both girls attend morning clubs, so one can be dropped off from 7.45 am and the other from 8.00 am. They also attend after-school clubs (within school grounds), which often finish at approximately 5.30 pm–6.00 pm.

We are looking for someone who:

- Lives locally in or near Oatlands/Weybridge
- Is dependable, warm and confident with children
- Has previous childcare or babysitting experience
- Ideally drives and has access to a car
- Is comfortable with irregular, pre-arranged hours
- Can provide suitable references

We are two working parents in professional, full-time roles. Our girls are friendly, lively and used to their school and evening routines.
