About Me

My name is Ellen, I’m 24 years off age. I’ve worked with children since I was 16. I have my level 2 and 3 childcare qualifications. I worked in a school, listening to children read, supported classes teachers, and monitored play times and lunch time duties. When I studied my level 2, I completed it as an apprentice. Which meant I worked 5 days a week in school which was connected to a nursery. I work within the school and the nursery. As part of the nursery team I was able to have two key children, on of my key children had special needs which meant it was a very hard role. I found this very rewarding working with a child who required so much attention. I worked towards my apprenticeship for 2 years. I always worked in a soft play area, for a year which invoked being children.

I have babysat children over the last year, looking after them during the day and taking care of them at night, e.g, putting them to bed, feeding them tea, taking them out places.
