Hello, I'm Leanne (Leanne's Little'uns Childminding),CIW Registered Childminder based in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, with over 12 years' experience working with children and families.
I have spent my career supporting children from birth through to school age, including five years as a nursery practitioner, where I regularly acted as Room Leader within the baby unit, and over seven years running my own successful childminding setting. My aim is to provide a warm, home-from-home environment where every child feels safe, valued and encouraged to learn through play. I believe children learn best when they feel happy, secure and confident, so I plan activities around each child's individual interests and stage of development, following the Curriculum for Wales.
Our days are filled with a balance of fun, learning and exploration. We enjoy regular outings to local parks, libraries, woods, community groups and other places of interest, as well as creative activities, messy play, stories, music and imaginative play. I encourage children to develop confidence, independence and important life skills while building positive relationships with others.
Building strong partnerships with parents is something I value highly. I believe that open communication and working together helps children feel secure and supported, creating the best possible environment for them to thrive.

I have over 12 years of experience working in early years, including five years in a private nursery and over seven years as a CIW Registered Childminder and Flying Start Childcare Provider.

- Childminding from £6.50 per hour

- From £6.50 per hour (minimum booking of 6 hours).
Wraparound Care – Ysgol Sant Curig
- £20 per day for children attending Ysgol Sant Curig, including both before-school and after-school care on the same day.

As a mum, I honestly couldn’t ask for a better childminder. Knowing that my child is happy, safe, and so well cared for gives me complete peace of mind every day.
She is kind, patient, and genuinely cares about every child she looks after. My child absolutely loves spending time with her and is always excited to go. I’ve seen such a positive difference in their confidence, social skills, and development since being in her care.

My son loves going to Leanne's! We were a little worried about how he would settle in as he only attends once a week, but he settled in straight away and is always happy to go in. He really enjoys his time with Leanne and loves all the fun activities she has planned, as well as the outings they go on together. It's lovely to see how much he's learning too—he often comes home singing new songs or showing a new understanding of things he's been learning while he's there. It's so reassuring to know he's happy, thriving, and so well cared for. I would definitely recommend Leanne to anyone looking for a caring, nurturing, and engaging childcare setting!

We can't thank Leanne enough for the love, care, and support she has given my son over the past two years. She has created such a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where my son has grown in confidence, learned so much, and always looked forward to spending time with her.
It's clear how dedicated and passionate Leanne is about caring for children, and knowing Osian was so happy and well cared for gave us complete peace of mind. We are so grateful for everything she has done and would highly recommend her to any family looking for an amazing childminder.
