About Me
Hello, I’m an Ofsted registered childminder based in the lovely Halterworth area of Romsey. I live at home with my husband, our two boys (born in 2009 and 2011), and our friendly border collie. We’re a busy, active family who love the outdoors, and our home is very much set up with children in mind.
We live in a spacious four bedroom semi-detached house with a large, secure garden that gives children plenty of room to play, explore, and burn off energy. I also have a dedicated playroom separate from the main house, offering a calm, engaging space filled with toys, activities, and soon a brand new sensory corner.
There’s lots of space for children to move freely, be creative, and stay active throughout the day. Whether it’s imaginative play, crafts, outdoor fun, or quiet time, I make sure there’s always something exciting and developmentally enriching available.
We’re often out and about too - exploring the New Forest and surrounding areas, discovering new areas of natural play, visits to local farms, wildlife parks and museums. I love giving children opportunities to connect with nature and wildlife, build confidence outdoors, and experience the world beyond the playroom, no matter what the weather is!
I also regularly meet up with other childminders and we go on adventures and days out to give the children lots of interaction with others there own age.
My setting is warm, welcoming, and family centred, and I’m committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
My Experience
I’ve been a childminder for over six years, but my experience with children goes back much further. Before childminding, I spent many years working in schools across all year groups, supporting children with a wide range of needs. I worked closely with school SENCOs and gained hands?on experience delivering 1:1 speech therapy sessions, physio support, and other classroom interventions. This background has given me a strong understanding of children’s development, additional needs, and the importance of nurturing emotional wellbeing.
I have a particular interest in children’s mental health, autism, behaviour management, and sign language, and I’m passionate about continually developing my skills. I regularly complete CPD and training courses to ensure my practice stays current, inclusive, and supportive for every child in my care.
Before becoming a childminder, I also managed after?school clubs, where I learned the art of keeping children entertained, engaged, and inspired with imaginative activities. That creativity continues in my setting today, where no two days look the same.
My aim is to provide a warm, homely, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves - whether they’re exploring outdoors, getting creative, learning new skills, or simply enjoying time to play.

Teaching (NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools)
Childminding (Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home-Based Childcare)
Autism Ambassador (Completed May 2019)

Food hygiene (Level 2)
Multi sports (1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi-Skills Development in Sport)
Swimming (STA Qualified Swimming Teacher - Level 2)
My Availability
I offer childcare from 8am until 5pm Monday to Thursday and until 4pm on Fridays. I also offer before and after school care from Halterworth and Chatterbox.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
Day time childcare will be charged from £7.50 per hour. I also offer before school care, starting from 8am and after school care, until 5pm Monday - Thursday & until 4pm on Friday.

Following covid-19 we needed some childcare for our son. We found Kiely and she has continually exceeded all our expectations. Our son loved his days with Kiely, she always provided the children with lots of fun activities, inside and outside her clean and family friendly home. She also took our son to various parks/museums which he loved. He has just started school and whilst he has settled in nicely, he's misses his time with Kiely.
We have already booked ahead Kiely for our 3rd children and would not hesitate to recommend Romsey Rugrats to anyone :)

Kiely (Romsey Rugrats) is an excellent childminder and exceeded all of our expectations. Our son was with Romsey Rugrats full time for two years (2-4 years) and he truly blossomed while he was there. Kiely and the children are always off out on trips and when looking over their photos from the week we would often joke that he was living a much more exciting life than we were. With all these adventures and the kind and nurturing environment provided he has gained greatly in confidence and came out of his shell notably.
Our daughter was also with Kiely after school, she loved her time there and it really felt like Kiely had welcomed them both into her family when they were with her.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Romsey Rugrats to anyone looking for a caring and enriching childminder service.

Kiely has looked after my 2 year old for over a year and I couldn’t ask for a better childminder. My son has loved going to Kiely every day & has always been made to feel so at home by her and her family. Kiely always has lots of fun activities for the kids to do and also has great space for them in the house & a brilliant garden for the kids to spend time in. The children are always out & about whenever possible going to the park, woods etc. Kiely also is really organised & goes above & beyond to make your life easier where possible. We are really sad that our son can no longer have Kiely as a childminder due to relocating & think it will be extremely difficult to find a childminder as good again.

Highly recommend Kiely for anyone in need of a childminder. My son (3) absolutely loves going there. He gets so excited. Always has loads of fun whatever they do, there’s something for every child. Kiely is definitely passionate about caring for the children & making sure they have the best of times. Best childminder my son has had by far! So glad I found Romsey Rugrats- & very flexible too!

My two children have been at Romsey Rugrats for a few months now and I couldn’t be happier!! Kiely takes such wonderful care of them both and they always have a great time!! The developmental work she does with my son, encouraging him with his writing is just one example of the amazing job she does!! It’s always great to see what the children have been up to whilst there, they are always up to different exciting things!! Highly recommended!!

Kiely used to childmind my children, she looked after my son Jacob ( 18 months), daughter Phoebe ( 3 years ) and Amy (5 years ) since August 2005.
I was extremely happy with the care they received, and the great progress they made whilst in Kiely’s care. Kiely's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and my children had great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Kiely's warm and friendly but no nonsense approach which sets her apart from other childminders we have experienced.
She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. My children enjoyed sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks and walks to the park.
Kiely is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining childrens confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home. When my children were hurt or feeling under the weather I know that they felt very happy and safe to be comforted by her and I am confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure his health and safety.
Our son Jacob has severe asthma and allergies that are anaphylactic, he needs inhalers, epi pens and antihistamine near him at all times, I had 100% confidence in Kiely with this extra responsibility and she always recognised when he needed his inhaler and communicated with me at all times.
I am also aware that Kiely ensures good personal hygiene in encouraging all the children to wash their hands before eating and after using the toilet. I’m sure that it is this practice together with the cleanliness of Kiely’s home which ensured that my children remained healthy and bug free for their time there and there was no accidents with Jakes life threatening allergies.
All in all I was thoroughly happy with the level of care my children received and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment helped my children develop into confident and happy children.
I would absolutely recommend Kiely as a great and reliable childminder.
