My Summary

My Experience

My most valuable experience comes from being a mum to two wonderful children of my own. Alongside this, I’ve had a variety of care roles over the years, giving me experience with newborns, young children, young adults and individuals with additional needs.
Most recently, I worked as a nanny for a 2 year old boy three evenings a week, as well as Saturday mornings. My responsibilities included nursery pick-ups, preparing meals, bath time and bedtime routines. We developed a lovely bond, and he became a little friend to my own son too. Sadly, the arrangement came to an end when the family relocated.

I also supported a young adult with multiple learning disabilities on and off for seven years while he lived independently with 24-hour care support. During this time, I built a strong and trusting relationship with him, always focusing on his interests, independence and quality of life. We shared a love of Dancehall music and Notting Hill Carnival, and enjoyed trips to recording studios, local pubs and other activities together. I really valued helping him get out, socialise and enjoy a fulfilling life on his own terms.

Overall, my experience has taught me the importance of being patient, reliable and adaptable, while treating every child or young person as an individual and making sure they feel safe, happy and understood.

My Qualifications

10 GCSES, 4 A-levels and a degree in Psychology & Society.

My Availability

I’m currently looking for two regular days of childcare work during the week, ideally looking after a child alongside my 2 year old son.

My 4-year-old is starting Reception at Hazelwood Nursery Monday–Friday, while my 2 year old attends a childminder three days a week. I’m keen to keep my other two days with him, as I really enjoy having this time together, but I’m flexible on which days these are and can discuss this with my childminder if needed.

I’m therefore looking for a family who would be happy for me to care for their little one alongside my own 2 year old, either at your home or mine. I’m available for a full day, from morning until around 4.30pm.

I also have a double buggy, so I’m able to collect my 4 year old from nursery at around 3.15pm with both children.

I appreciate it’s a slightly specific arrangement, but I’m hoping to find a lovely family where it could work well for everyone. I’m very open to discussing days, hours and arrangements to find something that suits us both.
