After School Nanny / Mothers Help
About Me
We are an Irish family of four, we have a seven year old daughter and a four year old little boy. I’m a GP and my husband works in finance.
My Requirements
We are a friendly family looking for a kind, reliable, and organised nanny / mother’s help to support us two evenings per week, starting in September (plus ideally a few trial evenings in July).
We have two lovely children - a 7-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. Our long-standing nanny, who has been with us for many years, will be returning to Brazil this summer as our needs change with both children at school from September.
We also have a regular cleaner, so this role is focused on childcare with some light household support.
Hours:
2 evenings per week (ideally Tuesday and Thursday, but we can be flexible)
Approximately 3:30pm – 8:00pm
Ideally increased hours to cover school holidays - up to 32 hours / w but flexible
Role Responsibilities:
Caring for one child while the other attends after-school activities with a parent
From around 6:00pm, caring for both children
Preparing and serving a simple, healthy dinner for the children
Helping with the evening routine (tidying up after dinner, getting kids ready for bed, reading stories, putting children to bed)
Light household tasks, including:
Preparing packed lunches for the next day
Tidying the kitchen / living area after use
Tidying toys
Setting up for breakfast
Laying out clothes for children for the next day
Occasional laundry (e.g. putting on a load, folding clothes)
About You:
Warm, caring, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
Reliable, organised, and proactive
Previous childcare experience preferred
Able to work independently and take initiative
We are looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of our family’s routine.
If this sounds like a good fit, we would love to hear from you, please get in touch with your experience and availability.
