Seeking flexible nanny to be a part of our family
About Me
We are a friendly, busy family of five living in Oxfordshire. We have three children (5,7 and 17)and are looking for someone kind, reliable and caring to become a trusted part of our family.
Our youngest son, Eddie, has additional needs and is starting at a specialist school. He is a lovely, funny and affectionate little boy who enjoys swimming, bath time, sensory activities, soft toys and being outdoors.
He can need quite a lot of support with communication, sensory regulation and managing changes or demands, so we are looking for someone who will take the time to get to know him and understand what works for him.
We are an active family and both parents work, so having reliable childcare during school holidays and occasional ad-hoc support is really important to us. We are looking for someone who will enjoy spending time with the children and become someone they know and trust.
My Requirements
We are looking for a part-time SEN nanny/childcarer, primarily to provide support for Eddie 5 and our 7 year old daughter Juniper during school holidays, with some ad-hoc childcare and potentially occasional after-school/weekend hours.
Experience working with children with SEND/autism and additional communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs is important
.
The most important qualities for us are that you are calm, patient, warm, reliable and confident supporting a child who may become overwhelmed or frustrated. We would love to find someone who is genuinely interested in getting to know Eddie and helping him enjoy his time outside school, rather than simply providing supervision.
Ideally, you will have a full driving licence and your own car, as this will make holiday activities and getting out and about much easier.
The hours are likely to be variable rather than a fixed full-time role, with the greatest need during school holidays and occasional ad-hoc days. We are ideally looking for someone who can build a regular relationship with Eddie and become a consistent, trusted person for our family.
