I am a shift worker. After my maternity leave, I will be going back to work part time in January 2021, and I am looking at both child minders and nurseries for the relevant times for my daughter. I want to get her socialised before the time I go back to work, so some adhoc minding before this to ensure baby is settled and the agreement is working out for all involved.
I would need a permanent Monday (except for bank holidays) and possibly a Friday until early afternoon (those are set days) there maybe a requirement for a day during the week that won’t be set and won’t be routine. I will be at work between 8.30am and 17.30pm on the Monday, and work in the centre of Newcastle so would need someone to work around those times to allow me time to drop my daughter off and allow time to get to work comfortably, and then the same for after work. On a Friday I would start work at 8.30am and do an earlier start again would be required for a childminder/nursery and then my partner would be able to collect my daughter around 1.30pm-2.30pm. If I needed an adhoc day (Tuesday- Thursday) then that would be a full day like the Monday requirements.
