About Me

Hi I’m Sophie,

I’m from Oxford and I moved to the West Midlands in January 2026. I’m currently available to offer babysitting for evenings booked in at least 4 weeks in advance.

I would describe my approach to childcare as nurturing, warm and gentle with a supportive balance of including boundaries too. I aim to provide warm and welcoming environments to support children’s development and wellbeing.

I have my own car. I am DBS checked as I am on the update service. I am also paediatric first aid trained which will renew in 2027 through my current job.

I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

My Experience

I have worked in a nursery since 2016 where I have worked with children from 6 months old -4 years old.
I have relocated to the West Midlands from Oxford in January 2026 and I am currently a senior practitioner at a nursery. I currently look after 2-3.5 year olds.
During my time at my previous nursery, I have provided one to one support for children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Downs Syndrome.
I have experience in supporting children with toilet training also.
I have also had experience in looking after older children aged up to 10.

My Qualifications

Level 3 qualification in health and social care.

NVQ level 3 childcare

Level 3 qualification as a teaching assistant

Paediatric first aid - expires in 2027

Safeguarding training

My Availability

I am available for babysitting most week day evenings.

I can also offer weekend babysitting which is booked in advance.

My hourly rate is £15 an hour
