About Me

Ofsted registered, DBs checked and fully first aid trained.

I enjoy working with all kinds of people. I have experience with all ages and twin experience. I enjoy being outside with the children either doing nature walks, parks, imagination play, bug hunts, creating bubble wands to make giant bubbles, puddle jumping, feeding the ducks etc. I love baking and cooking with or without the children's help and I am able to make a wide range of healthy meals. I love craft activities of all kinds, board games and puzzles. I'm very flexible and able to adapt to each families needs. I find work that allows me to use my creative skills interests me more, however I am willing to learn new skills and develop any that I already have to further a career for myself. I love all animals and have a wide range of pets (currently I have a chinchilla, hedgehog, tortoises, frog, mantis and fish). I have been driving since March 2006 and hold a clean UK licence. I do not smoke.

I would describe myself as happy, fun, loving, energetic, caring, patient, reliable, flexible, trustworthy, understanding and empathetic, creative, proactive, able to use initiative, confident, capable. I love the outdoors, experiencing new things and discovering new places. A hobby of mine is to bake, paint and to make candles.

I enjoy cooking and make many things from scratch. I am able to help children with their homework, reading, hand writing etc. I arrange play dates and outings where possible. I try to make activities different from each other to ensure I cover as many different forms of development as possible. I enjoy taking the time to read stories, sing and dance to music, puzzles, arts and crafts, sensory play (messy play), and enjoy going on outings to the park, soft play areas, farms, museums and other attractions and meeting other people such as current nanny friends, school mums/dads etc. I am happy to fulfil usual nursery duties you may require such as school runs, washing of children’s clothes. Keeping the children’s rooms tidy and pick up after the children and encourage them to do so as well.

My Experience

Nanny, 2-3 days a week between school hours (Bookham) (September 2020- March 2022.)

the little boy was 21 months when I started.
I have been really flexible for this family starting off doing two mornings a week (8-1) upping to 3 mornings as they needed more support and then transitioning to two days in-between school hours.

Nanny, Wednesday only (South Nutfield) February 2020- July 2020.

I worked Wednesday's only for this family in South Nutfield to bump up my hours. The children were 8, 6 and 3 when I started. My role included school runs for the eldest two children and activities/outings with the youngest. After school pick up we would do homework and often they would help me make dinner. They loved making pizza dough and adding their own toppings. Sadly this role came to an end due to covid19 so the family no longer needed me.

Nanny (West Horsley) March 2018 - Present.

I work full time in West Horsley as a nanny for this wonderful busy family. The children were 6 and 16 months at the start of my role. While the eldest is at school I take the youngest to various play groups, parks, national trust, softplays, farm's, gymnastics and a music class. We also spend time learning colours, shapes, numbers etc and play games to help build vocabulary, improve speach and learn positive ways to communicate. We love bug hunting, nature trails, baking, feeding the ducks, playing with chalks on the patio, colouring etc. I also carry out all the usual nursery duties. During lock down I've been home schooling the eldest and creating fun activities such as giant bubble wands to make giant bubbles, rock painting, seed planting, baking, painting, drawing, board games, long walks down different routes, bike/scooter rides etc.

Nanny (Richmond) October 2016 – March 2018.
I worked full time in Richmond as a nanny/PA for this busy household. The children were 7 and 9 at the start of my role. While the children are at school I run errands and prepare school bags/uniform etc for the next day as well as carrying out normal nursery duties. The 9-year-old has ADHD and a sensory processing disorder. This role has enabled me to work closely with his therapist and use the same techniques to reinforce the progress she makes with him. He has made huge progress and is now able to openly express himself and control his emotions much better therefore he is managing most situations much easier now. I had previously carried out some temp work for this family 2 years earlier so it was wonderful to come back and be able to help them. I have really enjoyed this role as it challenged me and was very rewarding being able to help, change and mould this sweet young man to being a happier well-rounded individual whose confidence just keeps growing.
•This role come to an end as I moved to Ifield, Crawley.

Nanny (St Margret's) July 2016 – September 2016.
Temporary, full time role in St Margret's covering another nannies maternity leave. The children were 5 and 7. The 7-year-old was diagnosed with ADHD and a Multisensory processing disorder. I carried out the usual nursery duties, walked the family dog, run errands and light housekeeping.
•This role ended early due to a change in circumstances so they no longer needed a nanny.

Nanny (Twickenham) June 2015 – June 2016.
I worked full time in Twickenham looking after two children aged 5 and 7 at the start. I carried out the usual nursery duties and light housekeeping.
•This role came to an end because of a change in circumstances so they no longer needed a full-time nanny.

Nanny (Weybridge) January 2014 – June 2015.
This role was a Friday and Saturday position and originally a 6-month temp role, however after the 6 months the family asked me to increase my hours significantly so once my Twickenham role came to an end I then worked full time solely for this family. When I started the children were 6 months and 18 months old. I carried out the usual nursery duties, walked the family dog and light housekeeping.
•This role came to a natural end as the children started attending nursey/pre-school 2/3 mornings a week reducing my hours.

Nanny (Twickenham) September 2013 - August 2014.
I worked full time in Twickenham looking after a 3-year-old and a 7-year-old. I carried out the usual nursery duties and light housekeeping.
•Their mum fell pregnant so this position came to a natural end as their mum was on maternity leave and needed to reduce my hours.

Nanny (Epsom) August 2012 – September 2013.
After finishing my last temporary nanny role the Epsom family with the twins asked me if I would consider a permanent role with them. The twins were 3 at that time.  I carried out the usual nursery duties, walked the family dogs, run errands and light housekeeping.
•This role came to an end when the twins went into full time school. I love spending time with children and helping them grow and develop so I felt the time was right to move on.

Nanny (temporary work) Mid-February 2012 – August 2012.
