Im Sam. Native english speaker born and brought up in London; living in Camden, Gospel Oak/Kentish Town area.
Im 29 years of age and the eldest out of the 8 siblings. I have learnt to care and assist my siblings at a young age. i am comfortable with taking care of children from new born to teenage. I do come from a science background. My interest in caring for children and babysitting did start from having a big family myself to which i dont necessarily see it as a job as i love the role that it holds and my instant love for kids. I can do pick ups/ drop offs to activities school etc, bathing, bedtime etc. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with great families and im always grateful for the way i am welcomed in the years of working as a nanny. Its very important for me to have a great relationship for the family i work for. And if parents are comfortable enough i understand that parents are away working long hours away so i love to send them snippets of photos and videos of what their children are up to everyday. I know it really makes the parents day knowing that their child is happy and safe.
I would describe myself as very fun and outgoing person; kind of being a big kid myself but have my boundaries set. I love doing arts and painting in my spare time; not that im any good haha. I love Musicals its my favourite thing ever. I dont believe in shouting but know how to stay firm with kids. Id say the best quality about myself is my patience and how adaptable i am. Im able to cook healthy meals & take the kids to activities ranging for all ages and arranging play dates. But my main significance for the kids is that they are safe and happy.
Alongside i offer basic housekeeping such as laundry, changing bed sheets, ironing, washing up. And also have a background in teaching Compulsory subjects (maths, english & science) therefore being able to help with homework or offering to teach is not a problem for me as i am always happy to help.
