About Me
Our son is 8 and has autism and global developmental delay - he is non-verbal and in nappies - he attends a special school.
My Requirements
A few hours at weekends - we can be flexible on times & days - would also have option to do Tuesdays and Thursdays during school holidays, if you want, but not a must.
£18 per hour
Dorchester - Fordington / Town Centre area
Duties are:
- Caring for son – supervising free play, providing activities and fun eg arts and crafts, playing with toys, reading to him, singing to him, trips out and about - eg soft play, library, swimming - we also have Sea Life, Vurlands & Falmer Palmer passes for you to use
- Nappy changing
- Providing 1-2-1 attention and intercepting behaviours
I need to flag that he occasionally pinches or spits when frustrated. Usually only when we’ve accidentally gone off routine or he is overwhelmed somewhere very noisy - so this can usually be avoided.
