About Me
I'm a qualified primary school teacher who has recently completed a Masters in Special Educational Needs. I am passionate about learning through play and supporting/developing children's skills of self-regulation.
When tutoring, I will take into account children's interests and link their learning to topics they enjoy in order to ensure they are engaged, and often they don't realise how much they are actually learning! I can tutor in all areas of primary, or offer support in developing other aspects, such as confidence and emotional skills.
As someone experienced in the EYFS, I can also plan fun activities for the younger ones, where they will be learning core skills as well as developing their interests and understanding of the world.
My Experience
I have teaching experience through my university degree in Reception and KS1 and have experience working as a teaching assistant or support staff up to Year 3. My most recent school job has been a 1:1 role where I supported a Year 3 child, helping him access class activities as well as planning 1:1 Maths and English activities to support his development. His confidence came on so much in the months I worked with him! I currently work in the Preschool room of a nursery and love to see and support the children to thrive.
I also have over a year's experience at a summer holiday club for children with different special needs and disabilities so have a strong understanding of different needs.

BA (Hons) Early Years Education with QTS (Graduated with a First)
MA Education (Special Educational Needs Pathway) (Distinction)
My Availability
I don't drive so am only available to babysit in Basingstoke or nearby locations with good public transport links. I currently work four days a week and these shifts tend to be until 6:30 although this may change. I am available on Thursdays and weekends for tutoring and babysitting.
