About Me
Welcome to Dolly’s Daycare, a warm, nurturing, and professional childcare setting based at Brockleians Rugby Club on Eltham Palace Road, SE9. We provide high-quality care and early years education for children aged 9 months to 5 years in a unique environment surrounded by extensive outdoor space. Our setting is designed to give children the very best start in life through a balance of learning, play, exploration, and adventure.
We are passionate about outdoor learning and helping children develop a love of nature from an early age. Children enjoy regular on-site Forest School sessions where they can explore, discover, and learn through hands-on experiences in the natural environment. Alongside this, we deliver engaging phonics sessions to support early literacy development and help prepare children for their transition to school.
Our experienced team consists of myself and three dedicated childcare assistants who are committed to creating a home-from-home atmosphere where every child feels safe, valued, and loved. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with both children and families, ensuring that each child receives the individual care and attention they deserve.
Healthy eating is also at the heart of what we do, with freshly prepared hot meals served every day. Our days are filled with opportunities for learning, creativity, physical activity, and outdoor exploration, allowing children to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning in a caring and supportive environment.

My son has been with Lucy since October when he was 11 months old. I knew as soon as I visited Lucy’s home that he was going to love it. Lucy has a lovely setting for the children, makes them home cooked meals. He has come on so much. I’m so glad that we found Lucy :)

Our twins have been in Lucy’s care for nearly a year and we feel extremely lucky to have found a team who have created an environment that’s safe, fun and a home away from home. The activities are endless with regular trips to the park, a phonics teacher who attends the site weekly, singing, story time and lots of arts and crafts. The twins are always so excited to tell us about their day. Our oldest daughter occasionally attends too and she is always so excited to join her siblings. Thank you for everything, you won’t regret your children being in Lucy’s care and her wonderful team!

We feel incredibly happy and grateful to have Lucy as our daughter’s childminder. Her home is always exceptionally tidy, clean, and hygienic, providing a very safe environment for little ones. My daughter has enjoyed every single day with her.
Lucy is a very kind and polite lady, and she also cooks wonderful meals, you can sometimes smell how delicious the food is at pick-up time! The children absolutely adore her. We also appreciate the phonics sessions she provides, which have been really helpful for my daughter’s learning.
Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased with the care Lucy offers. We feel very lucky to have her.

We cannot recommend Dollys Daycare enough. Lucy and her two assistances have looked after our son George for over 18 months. Providing a home away from home. They are caring, nurturing and develop and bring out the children’s social skills all in a comfortable and friendly environment.
Lucy and her staff are so personable and professional updating parents with photos and debriefs at the end of the day. Usually accompanied with some artwork from the day. They go on fun and informative walks to the park, feed the animals, softplay and have a regular phonics lesson in the week which George loves. Leaving our son with Dollys Daycare feels like leaving him to be looked after by family I really couldn’t recommend them enough.

My daughter Trixie has been going to Dolly Daycare for nearly a year now! She absolutely loves it, like home from home! The girls who works there are amazing and literally love Trixie like their own! I know trixie is safe and well looked after! I would never send trixie anywhere else! It’s like a big family there, so personal and the things that Lucy and the girls do with them are amazing! I can’t fault them at all! And so grateful my daughter gets to come here with such loving girls! Thank you for looking after Trixie! They get lovely fresh food cook also everyday! Snacks anything you could think off! X

We have tried a few childminders before setting with Lucy. Our daughter is happy being there and has learned a lot. Zula has also gained a lot of friends and always excited whenever we drop her off. Lucy communicates well on how the day went and gives update on our daughter’s development.
I highly recommend Dolly’s Daycare. They are just exceptional!

Lucy and her team provide an atmosphere full of love, care, kindness, learning and fun! Our daughter has been with Lucy since she was 2 and has absolutely thrived. As parents of a child with a physical disability we were very anxious having had negative childcare experiences before meeting Lucy. Since then, our daughter has absolutely thrived. Lucy and her team have been so attentive, reassuring and encouraging. I genuinely believe our daughter could not have been in better hands. We will never be able to fully explain how grateful we are for what Lucy offered us as a family.

I highly recommend Lucy as an exceptional childminder. Our daughter Sophie started with Lucy when she turned 2 years old, with no English language skills. However, after just a year under Lucy's care, Sophie has become a fluent English speaker. This remarkable progress is a testament to Lucy's dedication and skill in nurturing children's language development.
Lucy's kindness and attentiveness towards Sophie have made a tremendous impact on our family. Sophie is always thrilled to spend time with Lucy, and her happiness is evident in the way she talks about her experiences. We are so impressed with Dolly’s Daycare and highly recommend. Lucy and her team are the fantastic combination of kind and caring alongside providing a safe, fun and educational environment.
Our daughter started attending full-time when she was nearly two years old in 2020 and my baby boy started attending recently as I prepare to return to work after maternity leave. Knowing my baby boy will be wonderfully looked after by Lucy and her team makes it much easier to leave him in full time childcare when I return to work as I know he is the best hands.
We had a horrendous experience with a previous childminder with our daughter and we were hugely concerned about finding a nurturing environment that we (and my daughter) could trust again. Lucy was a true blessing for our family and I can’t recommend Dolly’s Daycare enough!

Lucy has welcomed my little girl who she has had since has been 20 months old with such open arms! From day one I had told her what I was after and how my daughters character was and she has been so nurturing and accommodating. If I have any concerns she always reassures me and provides me with daily updates and photos which was a BIG thing for me as I liked to know what my daughter had done throughout the day.
My little girl is so happy to be dropped off in the morning she literally skips to the front door. I know she is happy there and when I see the other children it always looks like such a fun happy stimulating environment. Would definitely recommend Lucy!
