My name is Kate and I’m the mother of a lovely boy called Finn, who will soon turn 8. We live in Charlton on Otmoor, a village in Kidlington. I work full-time in a busy job at Oxford University and Finn attends the Oxford Montessori School (OMS), Forest Farm, in Elsfield, OX3 9UW. I’m seeking some part-time childcare help from Sept 2026.
Finn is a lively, fun-loving boy, who loves to chat and play! He’s particularly into vehicles, animals, games, but also loves learning about new things, so may be interested in learning and doing new things with you.

My Requirements
OMS are stopping their after school care provision from 4pm, from this Sept (26) which is what prompted this. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can pick up from Finn’s school at 4pm and take care of him until I finish work at 6pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Sept 2026.
Our needs within this are quite flexible. To make the role more substantial for you, it could be combined with tutoring eg primary age maths (which he needs a bit of extra support with) or Spanish, which he’s currently learning, or extended by an hour ie by starting at 3pm and doing some light child related household jobs before pick up, which would also be super helpful.
Happy to discuss this though and build and define the role according to the person’s skills and preferences.
The core requirement is the pick up from
School and after school care 2 days per week.
As I sometimes work evening events, there may be other opportunities around this too.
