About Me
As a parent of three children myself I struggled with deciding what type of childcare would be best. You want the professionalism, structure and curriculum of a nursery but you don't want your child to be lost in the crowd of other children. You want the loving atmosphere of a home but you also want them to be school ready when that time comes.
Growing Seeds puts all the benefits of both practices together giving you a HOME NURSERY, a childcare service that runs day to day as other nursery do with a curriculum that supports and celebrates all our children and their uniqueness.
Your child will to get the attention and support they need due to a much smaller groupings of children. Our children to have fun and play freely, exploring resources both indoors and outdoors that expend their personal, social and emotional development as well as the other 6 areas of their development. One of the tools we use to support this is being involved in our local community by weekly Library trips, nature gardening club also weekly (during term time) and trips to the theatre farms etc.
Working in partnership with parents is important to us. We demonstrate this by promoting good communication models search as our parent app for daily feedback, termly newsletters, settling in reports, 2 year progress checks and twice a year parents meetings.
All children are provided with freshly made meals through out the day as well as AM and PM healthy snacks. We are a staff of 3 with a ratio of 3 to 1 adult.

My Experience
I have worked in the Childcare sector for over 14 years. I began my career as a nanny, where I worked for two families.
I then moved on to working in a nursery in Lambeth for 10 years where I worked my way from a nursery assistant to a room leader and then eventually Third In Charge. During this time I worked with all development stages, from new borns and older children.
My most recent position was a Deputy manager at an outstanding nursery where my experience, qualification and role allowed me to train staff on child development, Safeguarding children and working in partnership with parents.

Tay and Cee are wonderful. Both of our children were in the best possible hands at Growing Seeds. Our son Arlo in particular, who joined when he was 20 months and just flourished. He ran in with a big smile on his face every day and just had so much fun, whilst surprising us every week with his development. I couldn’t recommend this setting highly enough.

Awwww Katie what lovely words. I understand how hard it is to trust the most precious thing you have to strangers (even when they are Ofsted registered 😄). I do not take it lightly and aim to honour that responsibility. To read your words lets me know we are on the right track. Miss you guys lots ❤️.
Thank you
Tay your GS family 😊
