My Requirements
Looking for someone to babysit/nanny three good-natured kids a few afternoons a week. Also looking for ad hoc babysitting.
An old farmhouse with pets and three kids under six (5,3,1) - there's a lot of life happening!
Qualifications are welcome but mean less to us than the quality of presence with the children, a sense of humour and a willingness to step into the responsibility fully, and with a light hearted touch.
Looking for someone who is comfortable leading semi-structured play: happy building puzzles, making fairy potions, constructing lego castles, setting up all the paint colours (for the 3 minutes of painting enthusiasm) and then happy too to pack everything away again.
The kids love to bake, explore in the field next to the house, and have stories read to them. A few days a week they have a specific arts and craft project to work on that ties in with their school work.
The trick with all the play is that the right person will also be able to get a simple meal on the table for the kids if needed and be able to lead the bath time routine from time to time.
Parents are often on site (and respectful!). This is a gig where you will be appreciated.
