About Me
I am a Speech and Language Therapist working with adults with learning disabilities. I have just moved to working bank hours so have more time for my masters in autism and intellectual disabilities. Looking for some additional childminding/babysitting work alongside this. I have 5 years childminding experience with a range of ages prior to becoming a speech therapist.
My Experience
Before university I was a childminder for 4 years with a family with two boys, and a babysitter for local families since I was 14. I also have volunteered with HCPT charity for 5 years, giving me experience with additional needs care. Through my university I have completed placements in local schools and nurseries as well as Special Educational Needs Schools meaning I have gained a vast breadth of experience with children, and in my current job I have developed my skills further in autism and intellectual disabilities.
My Qualifications
I have 10 GCSES, 3 A levels and an extended project qualification
I have a Paediatric First Aid Qualification, as well as Manual handling, mental health awareness and children safeguarding level 2
I have a DBS for working with children
