My Requirements

Our children are:
11-month-old daughter, attending nursery in Gateshead
7-year-old son
12-year-old son
I am a surgeon returning to work after maternity leave, and my husband works full-time. We are looking for someone who can provide reliable childcare support around our working schedules.

Main responsibilities
On regular working days, the role will include:
1. School collection for our 7-year-old in Gateshead at approximately 3:15pm
2. Collection of our 12-year-old from school in Newcastle at approximately 3:45pm
3. Driving both boys home to Gateshead
4. Preparing snacks/food and supervising homework and activities
5. Looking after the children until we return home
On longer hospital shifts, the role may include:
Morning school/nursery drop-offs
Collection of all three children
Caring for our baby at home, including feeding, changing, play and general care
Preparing meals/snacks for the children
Evening childcare until we return from work

We are looking for someone who is:
Warm, caring and genuinely enjoys working with children
Experienced with babies and toddlers as well as school-age children
Experienced in managing multiple children
Reliable, punctual and organised
Comfortable driving children between schools and home
A full UK driving licence holder with access to a reliable car (or willing to discuss use of a family car)
A safe and confident driver
Flexible around occasional long working days and weekends
Able to provide excellent references
DBS checked, or willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check
Paediatric first-aid trained, or willing to complete this
Looking for a stable, ongoing position with a family
