My name is Jess, I live in Great Notley in Braintree. I am 27 and a Fully Qualified Level 3 Practitioner.
I am a very hardworking, reliable individual who is willing to work long hours, I have a very kind nature and a bubbly, creative personality.
I had worked in a childcare setting for about 8 years and I am now currently working as a nanny part time which I have done for the past 2 years. I gave up my position as room leader within a nursery setting to work part time and pursue a fashion & textiles degree which I have just completed.
I have always been very passionate about both creative work and Childcare so I love being able to do both alongside each other, and would like to continue this into the future. Now I have completed my degree I have much more availability.
Working with children is something I’ve absolutely loved and I would never want to give it up completely. I really enjoy getting creative and planning exciting activities for children to learn through play.
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends & family, and me and my partner enjoy eating out, walking our two pups and exploring new places!

I worked in a child care setting for about 8 years, starting off as an apprentice and working my way up to room leader, I then worked part time in the baby room. I am First Aid trained, have Senco experience and have a safeguarding qualification. I also won ‘Practitioner of the Year’ within the nursery setting, voted by my colleagues.
I have experience with all ages from babies to 8 years and was Room Leader of the 2-3 year old room for over a year and a half. I was promoted to room leader not long after gaining my level 3 qualification, I then alongside my team transformed this room into an engaging exciting place for all of the children to learn, play and explore. My time running the room was the most amazing experience, I learnt so much about the children, their development, engagement, leadership, teamwork and I enjoyed every minute. Giving up my role to work part time wasn’t an easy decision but I had other ventures I wanted to pursue alongside my childcare career.
I have since then worked part time Nannying several afternoons a week as well as Saturdays & Sundays. I do school pick ups, ensure school activities and home work is complete, provide snacks and prepare meals, ensure all the house work is complete (laundry, washing up, general tidying etc) whilst still providing exciting activities for the children to explore! We also go on fun days out to the park, to the zoo etc.
I have full understanding of the EYFS and can plan activities to help encourage learning and development all based to suit your child's interests.
I have plenty of experience with potty training, weening and have worked with children with SEN and Speech and Language.
I am available full time / part time until March and am also available for evening baby sitting if needed.
I also have cleaning experience, and have done regular babysitting for several families.
