I am seeking a long-term, part-time live-out SEN nanny who has experience and knowledge in supporting and caring for a child with Autism/ADHD. We live in Woodford Green, Redbridge.

My son is 11 years old and attends full-time school. He is a part of a family of 4 with a younger 5 year old neurotypical sister. The nanny must be reliable and punctual, experienced in behaviour strategies or has knowledge on anger management strategies. It would be preferable if the nanny could attend in the mornings around 7.30am, before school to help support and get ready for school within a timely manner. I would then require the nanny to attend after school hours around 4pm up until around 6 or 7pm to support and instill good routines and behaviour, prepare nutritious meals, help with homework, light housework duties such as washing dishes, child’s laundry care, walks, bike rides to the park, and other general childcare duties.

My son is generally a loving child who loves playing video games, listening to music, learning computing and building toys. Even though his main pass time is gaming at present, I would like help to reduce time spent on this and to steer more towards homework and learning. Due to his complex needs, you must be able to demonstrate a lot of patience and resilience to work with him and to be able to manage behavioural issues accordingly.
Hours and days of the week are negotiable. Ideally, I would definitely need a nanny to commit to Tuesdays (the day I go into the office). Wednesdays are my non-working days so no childcare needed on this day. Other days are flexible and can be agreed depending on your availability.
