My Summary
About Me
I have been working as a Childminder for twenty three years with the previous experience of being a Nursery Nurse.
I work closely in partnership with parents to gain the best outcomes for your child delivering a more inclusive practice.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum from a play based approach which is mainly child initiated and adult led.
I provide a purpose allocated playroom which overlooks the large garden full of large play equipment and small outdoor toys, giving children a free flow of both areas to meet their individual needs.
My Experience
I have previously worked in pre schools and schools as a Nursery Nurse. For the last twenty three years I have worked as a childminder from home which I find very rewarding
Some mornings the children are taken into the local community (Library, Learning through play activity mornings, soft play areas, parks, farm, zoo, cinema, museums etc) to access other activities which provide children with the experience needed to support their learning and development in a fuller context.

We love Maria. Truly the best childminder we could have wished for. She helped us hugely when she took on my first daughter through Covid when our previous childminder could not do it and it was the best thing that could have happened. She helped her develop lots of skills, and become more confident in herself and with others. Maria then took on my second daughter at 6 months just as my older daughter was starting school and continued to have her throughout the school holidays. Both my girls adore Maria as do we. She is so caring and loving and does so much with the children in her care. She always gets them out of the house and has them exploring new things, learning and teaching as she goes. Maria is very understanding and always willing to help out where she can. My girls still talk of her often and really miss seeing her. She really treated them like one of her own and we will be forever grateful ❤️

Our time with Maria has just come to an end after almost 8 years. She has been the most wonderful childminder we could have wished for and has cared for, nurtured and educated our two sons beyond our expectations.
She has supported us through a diagnosis of ASD for our eldest son and has gone above and beyond for him. She has taken time to learn more about ASD, how she could adapt and support him and provided a safe and calming space for him.
Both of our sons have had the very best start in life with Maria and we’re so grateful for her.
It takes a lot to trust someone else with your children, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Maria. She really is one in a million ⭐️

We first found Maria when our eldest son was 6 months old and were looking for full time childcare. We knew as soon as we met her that she was who were looking for. She made us feel comfortable and at ease, understanding the difficult transition of returning to full time employment after maternity leave. Maria still looks after our eldest son around preschool hours and also looks after our youngest full time, and we couldn't ask for a better childminder. We have complete piece of mind that they are in the best hands with her. She takes the children out every day into the local area and plans afternoon activies to engage and develop them. We receive updates throughout the day so we always know what they've been up to, and she really celebrates their achievements with us. It's not very often you come across someone who is as good at what they do as Maria is. She has and continues to be a fantastic support to our family and we couldn't wish for anyone better to look after our children.
