I have over 25 years’ experience as a Childminder, having previously worked as a Nursery Nurse. I am passionate about providing a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where every child feels happy, safe and valued.
I work closely in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that each child receives the individual care and support they need to thrive. I believe that building strong relationships with families helps us work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for every child.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework through a fun, play-based approach to learning. Children are encouraged to follow their own interests through child-initiated play, alongside carefully planned adult-led activities that support their learning and development.
My setting has a dedicated playroom overlooking a large, secure garden, creating a bright and inviting space for children to play, learn and explore. The garden offers a wide range of large play equipment and smaller outdoor toys, providing plenty of opportunities for physical activity, imaginative play and exploration.
Children have the freedom to move between the indoor and outdoor areas, allowing them to make choices, develop their independence and enjoy activities that reflect their individual interests and needs.
My aim is to provide a caring, inclusive and stimulating home-from-home environment where children can build confidence, develop new skills and, most importantly, feel happy and secure.
My Experience
I have over 25 years’ experience as a Childminder, having previously worked as a Nursery Nurse. During this time, I have cared for children of different ages, abilities and individual needs. My experience has given me a strong understanding of how children learn and develop, enabling me to provide a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can feel happy, confident and secure.

I, myself, used to go to Maria when I was younger and still have fond memories now 20+ years later. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew there was no one else I would rather my child go to and to my luck, Maria had availability.
Maria has cared for my daughter since she was 8 months old and I honestly couldn’t wish for anyone better. She strives for the best in my child and constantly encourages her development. My daughter wakes up so excited to go in the mornings and often doesn’t want to come home at pick up. Every day is different for the children as Maria always has activities and trips planned.
I would recommend Maria to anyone looking for a genuine, caring provider for their children.

We love Maria. Truly the best childminder we could have wished for. She helped us hugely when she took on my first daughter through Covid when our previous childminder could not do it and it was the best thing that could have happened. She helped her develop lots of skills, and become more confident in herself and with others. Maria then took on my second daughter at 6 months just as my older daughter was starting school and continued to have her throughout the school holidays. Both my girls adore Maria as do we. She is so caring and loving and does so much with the children in her care. She always gets them out of the house and has them exploring new things, learning and teaching as she goes. Maria is very understanding and always willing to help out where she can. My girls still talk of her often and really miss seeing her. She really treated them like one of her own and we will be forever grateful ❤️

Our time with Maria has just come to an end after almost 8 years. She has been the most wonderful childminder we could have wished for and has cared for, nurtured and educated our two sons beyond our expectations.
She has supported us through a diagnosis of ASD for our eldest son and has gone above and beyond for him. She has taken time to learn more about ASD, how she could adapt and support him and provided a safe and calming space for him.
Both of our sons have had the very best start in life with Maria and we’re so grateful for her.
It takes a lot to trust someone else with your children, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Maria. She really is one in a million ⭐️
