My Requirements

I am looking for a NANNY HOUSEKEEPER for 27hrs a week - Mon to Thurs starting asap. We have had a flexible hours arrangement with our current nanny 22hrs p/wk during term time and about 34hrs p/wk during school holidays.

We are hoping to find someone who'll become part of our family. Yes, we're looking for that magical unicorn person who is great with kids but also fab at doing the practical stuff involved in running a home.

Household duties
Prepping meals, unloading dishwasher, family laundry, ironing, changing bed linen, some light cleaning (ie. wiping down kitchen after meals and hoovering under the table! It's just keeping on top of the daily mess.)

Childcare duties
Playing with the children, preparing snacks, planning suppers for the week ahead, refereeing arguments, reading stories, helping our youngest with primary school homework, driving to after school activities like gymnastics, reminding them about music practise, etc. You also need to be a swimmer - we have a pool, and the kids spend a lot of time in there during the summer!

Hours could rise for the right applicant, and there would be the opportunity for more work during school holidays if desired.

Our ideal candidate will be confident managing household duties and juggling the demands of three children. We're looking for someone who is organised, fun, and has plenty of initiative. You'll be equally talented at writing weekly meal plans as making a spaceship out of a cardboard box. Attitude is more important than experience, but you must be able to demonstrate that you can cope with the role.

It would be great if you have a car, but it's not essential. And we'll need two excellent references to check your superstar credentials!
