My Experience

I began my childcare career as a nanny caring for a two-year-old girl, a role I absolutely loved. A few years later, when the family welcomed their second daughter, I returned to help support them for a few weeks while mum was on maternity leave before moving on to a new position.

I then worked as a nanny for one-year-old twins and their eight-year-old sister for nine months, gaining valuable experience caring for children of different ages at the same time. After this role, I returned to work with my original family for over a year, continuing the close relationship we had built.

During the pandemic, I supported several school-aged children as a nanny, helping them with home schooling and providing structure and encouragement during a challenging time.

I also have experience supporting children and young people with additional needs. I worked in a children’s home caring for four children/young adults with needs including Autism, OCD and challenging behaviours, which helped me develop patience, understanding and strong communication skills.

For the past three and a half years I have been working as a childminder and absolutely love creating a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy and able to learn through play. I am also a mum to my own little boy, who is now four years old.

My Qualifications

I have a 2:1 degree in International Development from The University of East Anglia. I am paediatric first aid trained and have completed common core skills in childcare as well training to become an Ofsted registered childminder.

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Childminding from £6.50 per hour
