About Me

I’m a mum to two lovely girls, aged 1 and 7, with around seven years of experience working in nursery and nannying settings. I’m passionate about supporting children’s learning and development through fun, engaging and meaningful play.

I love planning a wide variety of activities that encourage children to explore, learn, develop new skills and, most importantly, have fun! We enjoy spending lots of time outdoors, visiting different parks and play spaces, exploring nature and going on trips to places such as the zoo and farm. At home, we love baking, getting messy with paints, exploring sensory play and enjoying arts and crafts.

I believe children learn so much through hands-on experiences and everyday adventures. I enjoy incorporating different types of play into our days to support all areas of development, including communication, physical development, social and emotional skills, creativity, imagination and problem-solving. I also love following children’s individual interests and finding ways to turn the things they enjoy into fun learning opportunities.

As a mum myself, I understand the importance of providing a safe, nurturing and loving environment where children feel comfortable, confident and supported. I want children to feel free to explore, express themselves, build independence and learn at their own pace, without losing the fun and magic of childhood.

I’m now looking for a nannying role where I can share my passion for childcare and development while bringing my little girl, Olive, along with me. I would love to find a family who is open to this arrangement and who shares my enthusiasm for providing children with a happy, stimulating and enriching environment full of play, exploration and exciting experiences.

My Experience

I have around seven years of childcare experience, including six years working in nursery settings and previous experience as a nanny at the beginning of my childcare career. This year, I have been working through an agency in a mixture of nursery and nannying roles, giving me experience working with different families, children, routines and childcare environments.

Throughout my experience, I have cared for children across a range of ages, from young babies through to school-aged children. My experience includes caring for babies and toddlers, supporting children’s daily routines, nappy changing, feeding, preparing meals and snacks, settling children for naps, supporting sleep routines and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

My nannying experience has involved providing more individualised care within a family setting, following parents’ instructions, maintaining familiar routines and adapting to each child’s needs. My nursery experience has helped me develop experience caring for children within a structured setting, supporting their daily activities, personal care, play and general wellbeing.

Outside of my professional roles, I am also a mum to two girls aged 1 and 7 and regularly care for my nieces, aged 3 and 5, and my 3-month-old nephew. This gives me additional hands-on experience with children at different developmental stages, from the needs of a young baby to the routines and interests of older children.

I am confident supporting everyday childcare responsibilities, including feeding, personal care, sleep routines, preparing food and snacks, and keeping children safe and comfortable throughout the day. I understand the importance of building positive relationships with both children and parents, communicating effectively and providing consistent, reliable care that fits around each family’s needs.

My Qualifications

I hold a Triple Distinction in Children’s Play, Learning and Development, which included 750 hours of practical experience across three placements working with children of different ages.

I am first-aid trained and hold an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, allowing my DBS status to be kept up to date.

My qualifications and practical experience have given me a strong foundation in childcare, child development, learning through play and providing safe, supportive care for children at different stages of development.

My Availability

I’m looking for a part-time nannying role on three days per week, with flexibility on which days these are. Ideally, I’m available from 8:00–8:30am until 3:00–3:30pm, although I’m happy to discuss hours to find an arrangement that works well for both the family and myself. I would be looking for a role where I can bring my daughter, Olive, along with me.
