I'm energetic, fun and adventurous. I'm very much an outdoor person, but if you could get a degree in building pillow forts, I'd have one.
I'm very physically active in my personal life, where I do a mixture of weightlifting at the gym, rockclimbing and bouldering, swordfighting, hiking, and many others.
As much as I love and thrive in the outdoors though, I am also very much a (not so secret) nerd and spend time playing tabletop RPG's, read books, play video games, and find myself a new skill to learn every so often.
I'm easy going, patient, reliable and definitely a go-getter in my day to day life, and take those attributes to work with me easily.
My Experience
I'm a professional nanny and Maternity Nurse with almost 12 years of different childcare experiences. Babysitting, nannying, tutoring, holding classes for up to 25 children, are just some examples of what I've got up to in my career so far. I have worked with newborns, twins, up to 5 siblings and with children up to the the age of 17.
My general approach is attachment-oriented, gentle and child-led with firm boundaries and a focus on treating everyone with manners, respect and kindness. I use everything as a learning opportunity (and most of the time the kids don't even notice ;) ) - a trip to the forest is more than "just a nice walk" as we spent it working on our motor skills, talking about weather/wildlife/plant cycles, making up stories or games to help with language development and even sneak some maths in there by counting, measuring and building.
I'm also always happy to expand my horizon and work in situations I haven't before, and I love exposing the children I look after to a huge mixture of adventures that challenges them and helps them to grow into themselves while being supported and guided.
In previous jobs, we've always spent the majority of our day outside exploring forests, farms or castles, as well as joining in on classes, playgroups or playdates.
My Qualifications
I'm first aid trained and can provide certificates of projects that involve childcare. I can also provide different references. I can provide a portfolio about me and of my previous work.
My Availability
I am currently looking for a new full time, live out nanny position :)

- Nannying from £17.50 per hour (net)
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
