I'm Jess, a friendly, sunshine filled South African. I have worked extensively with children (7years experience). I have a first class honours degree in Psychosocial Studies and am busy completing my MA in Psychotherapy.
I’m hoping to find a live in role that I can do alongside my studies with 3 days a week dedicated to your family and 2 days for my lectures and voluntary work. During the school holidays I would be available full time if you required it.
I consider myself to be creative, kind, hardworking and active, I think these characteristics shine through in the way I look after children. I always do things to the best of my ability and am reliable, trustworthy and loyal. I truly love being able to be part of a children's development and growth and feel that my academic understanding of psychology, sociology, art and play therapy, allows me to do this to a high standard.
My Experience
I have 7 years experience looking after children, ranging from the ages of 6 months to 13 years. I have worked sole charge, alongside parents, looked after only children as well as groups of up to 5 at once. I am happy to cook, do creative activities and household duties.
My Qualifications
First class honours degree in Psychosocial Studies.
Level 2 in counselling skills.
CPD in a compassion focussed approach to self criticism.
Emergency paediatric first aid.
