I am a qualified primary teacher with a qualification in Special Educational Needs. I worked full time in a nursery since October 2019 to October 2021. I was room lead of the preschool room and third in charge of the nursery. I have since left the nursery in pursuit of a career elsewhere. I am keen on keeping up with Childcare, which is why I am active on this app.
I am caring and considerate while being reliable with a bubbly and friendly1 personality. I love to socialise and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
I love finding new ways to educate children through play, whether that be board games, using unusual but safe materials and exploration.
Being from rural Ireland I especially love being outdoors, going on hikes and long walks, especially on the beach. I am passionate about allowing children to use their imaginations. I love animals so pets are not a problem.
I am especially passionate about keeping children safe and having strategies in place to ensure children and families are happy with plans and safety strategies. I have experience with caring for children with allergies and am aware of allergens.
My Experience
I have teaching experience within a range of different age groups including nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 4. I also have years of volunteer experience with children and adults with Special Educational Needs and have had experience in schools for those with Special Eduacational Needs also.
I was hired for a summer in 2016 as a child minder for two children aged 7 and 9. I played football, board games and baked 2with the children while their mother ran errands. Occasionally, when the mother was home I also helped her tidy the house and cleaned the kitchen and living spaces.
I have worked alongside the Health and Safety officer to ensure all children's allergies have been taken into account while cooking for 80+ children. I have also worked alongside the Special Educational Needs Coordinator to ensure play plans and care plans are in place.
My Qualifications
I have a BA. Hons in Primary Education with QTS and Special Educational Needs. I am qualified in Paediatric First Aid
