My name is Lauren, I am 33 years old, married with one child and I am a registered Ofsted childminder.
I have a 4 year-old daughter who attends nursery two days a week.
We live next to Kenyngton Manor school which is great for drop offs and pick-ups if required.
We have a loving, friendly family home which includes a large garden with lots of children’s outdoor toys such as a playhouse, swing, slide and see saw.
We have 1 very friendly dog (a spaniel) who is very affectionate and loves people especially my daughter, 1 cat who again is very affectionate but tends to be out most of the day and 1 guinea pig who is very friendly and likes to be handled.
We have a healthy diet at home with home cooked meals the majority of the time. We eat all our meals at the table as a family and family time is very important to us.
As mentioned above we really enjoy family time and at weekends we try to spend as much time doing fun activities together, whether this be going to the park for a picnic, spending time in the garden or a day out at a soft play or theme park. Spending time outside and taking in different experiences is something I would encourage for the children in my care. Whether this be trips to the local park, learning about animals at the farm, fruit picking or simply experiencing the sights and sounds of the back garden and around the home. I am really pleased you have taken the time to view my profile and would love the opportunity to speak to you about your childcare needs.
My experience comes from raising and caring for my 4 year old daughter as well as numerous years of looking after my nieces and nephews in a loving family environment. I have always been passionate about working with children and have found this the perfect career to achieve my ambitions. Having my daughter has changed my perspective and priorities and has finally given me the push to move into a career which I find really rewarding and inspiring.

Lauren always meets every single need of my toddler when he’s in her care. She’s thoughtful, kind, extremely organised, diligent & lots of fun! My little one speaks very highly of the times he’s spent in Lauren’s care and always has a beaming smile on his face when we collect him, so we feel completely at ease when leaving him. Lauren takes the time to find out what new interests our son has, then will incorporate these somewhere in her creative sessions with the children- showing just how much she puts their needs first. Lauren’s very approachable, honest and definitely understands the way little ones view things. She takes the time to explain ‘why’ something is not a good idea, rather than just saying ‘no’, for example, which our inquisitive son really responds to. Thanks Lauren, we feel very lucky and privileged to have you :)
Lauren has hugely helped us out for ad hoc childcare while on an extended work project and she couldn’t be more friendly. My wife found her name from someone local and it was such a saving grace. She treats our girls like her own, they seemed to have had so much fun and my older girl fell in love with the gorgeous dog who is amazing with kids. I will definitely use her again and am so glad that we found her! She had plenty of toys, a good outdoor space with more toys outside and had clearly displayed the safety information (like fire safety) that really offers reassurance when leaving your kids with someone.
