About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder living in Hexham with my partner and my 2 children.
I have worked with children for 20 years.
I run my business alongside 2 registered assistants.
We are now known as Oak Close Childcare.
We are a mix between childminder and nursery.
We offer the same home from home welcome as a childminder does with the added bonus of being able to accommodate more children.
Our aim is to provide a reliable and trustworthy service, along with flexibility for parents.
We provide a 'home from home' experience, where children will feel happy and most of all have fun!!
We have a very much outdoor ethos to our setting and children do lots of activities outside!
During the week we go to the local parks, visit our allotment where we grow an abundance of fruit and vegetables. We do forest school activities at the woods. We also visit various places in the local area.
We also do lots of home based activities such as baking, clay, playdough, walks to see the animals, painting and messy play.
We have song and story time each day too!
I have a dedicated playroom which leads out onto an outdoor garden area. The garden has a variety of activities including a water and sand area, a digging area, a 'mark making shed', a variety of bikes and cars and a fantastic mud kitchen
We are also open 6 weeks of the school holidays.
We visit the library, National Trust sites and parks during school holiday time.
I provide the 2 and 3 year old funding (please message for more information)
I have lots of references from parents in the local area.
We currently have no availability until Eater 2023.

My Experience
I have worked with children for 18 years in nursery settings, as a nanny and for the past 9 years as a childminder.
Whilst completing my childcare training I worked in a local school with children ranging from 4 to 8 years of age.
I worked in a nursery for 5 years looking after varying ages of children from birth to pre-school.
I have also worked as a nanny.
I have 2 children myself. My oldest is 11 years old and my youngest is 6
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Early Years Care and Education.
Key Skills Level 3
Pediatric First Aid Certificate
Food Hygiene Level 3
Various Child Protection and Safeguarding courses.
A Diploma in Home Based Childcare
My assistant has a NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education
All assistants have undergone the DBS process, Pediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My hourly fee includes all meals, snacks and trips out.
