About Me
Hello, my name is Kasanya (known as Kas) and I am a Ofsted Registered Childminder in Billingshurst.
I have been living in Billingshurst for 5 years. Along with my husband, two daughters (21 & 19), a friendly cat, a very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and several fish!
I provide all day care between 7:30 & 5:30pm Monday to Thursday. I will provide a home from home environment where I can support each child to help them reach their full potential by forming good relationships, learning their personalities, likes & dislikes.
I love playing alongside children, supporting and showing them the importance of trying something new, getting our hands dirty and generally adopting a 'have a go' attitude in a safe environment with a variety of indoor & outdoor activities in our reasonable sized enclosed garden.
I will also take children to local playgrounds, toddler groups, library story time etc.
My Experience
I have 21 years of childcare experience, firstly in bringing up my daughters, secondly working as a Pre-school Assistant for four years where I gained a Diploma in Pre-School Practice, and most recently I have been working as a Reception class Teaching Assistant for 7 years.
As a result of this experience I have gained skills in behaviour management & learning techniques (e.g. Jolly Phonics), communication skills with children & parents alike and generally forming good relationships with all concerned
