About Me
Welcome to Little Bees Lounge.
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I am a warm, caring and reliable Ofsted-registered childminder with over 20 years of experience working with children in nurseries, preschools, as a nanny and as a childminder.
My childminding setting is called Little Bees Lounge, and I work from a lovely church lounge. Although we have the benefit of a larger space, I have created a warm, cosy and welcoming environment that feels just like home. It is a place where children can feel comfortable, secure and relaxed while having plenty of space to play, explore and learn.
The larger setting gives us lots of opportunities to create different areas for play and activities, allowing children to move freely, explore their surroundings and follow their own interests.
At Little Bees Lounge, I believe children learn best when they are happy, engaged and having fun. I provide a balance of planned activities and child-led play, allowing children to explore at their own pace and develop their confidence and independence.
We enjoy a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, baking, stories, sensory play, messy play, music, imaginative play and lots of opportunities for exploring and discovering new things.
We also have a purpose-built, enclosed and safe outdoor play area, giving children a wonderful space to enjoy fresh air and outdoor learning in a secure environment.
Our outdoor area includes a mud kitchen,water wall, sandpit, playhouse and other opportunities for imaginative and physical play. Children can get creative, make mud pies, build, dig, explore, use their imagination and enjoy being outdoors.
I also enjoy taking children out into the local community to parks, libraries, playgroups, soft play , National trust and other child-friendly activities, giving them opportunities to socialise, explore and experience the world around them.
I am kind, patient, trustworthy, organised and nurturing, and I believe children thrive when they feel safe, listened to and valued.
My aim is to create a little home-from-home where children feel happy, secure, loved and part of a little community. I want every child to feel comfortable being themselves, while developing important social, emotional and practical skills through everyday experiences.
I believe that childhood should be filled with play, laughter, curiosity, exploration and wonderful memories, and I aim to make every day at Little Bees Lounge enjoyable and meaningful.
I understand that choosing a childminder is a very important decision for any parent. I believe in building a strong, trusting relationship with families and keeping parents informed about their child's day, progress, interests and experiences.
I welcome parents to share their child's routines, preferences and individual needs so that I can provide consistent and personalised care.

My Experience
I am a warm, caring and reliable childcare professional with many years of experience caring for children from babies through to school age, including children with SEN and additional needs. My experience includes working in nurseries and preschools , nannying, and working as an Ofsted-registered childminder. I have also raised my own two children, which has given me a deep understanding of the joys, challenges and individual needs of children as they grow and develop.
I genuinely enjoy being around children and creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment where they feel valued, listened to and confident to be themselves. I believe children learn best through play, encouragement and positive relationships, and I enjoy planning activities around their individual interests, personalities and stages of development.
As an Ofsted-registered childminder, I provided a stimulating home-from-home environment where children could learn, explore, develop their confidence and become increasingly independent. My nursery and playgroup experience has also given me a good understanding of children's routines, early development, learning through play and the importance of providing consistent and inclusive care.
I have experience supporting children with different needs and abilities, including SEN and additional needs, and I always take the time to understand each child as an individual. I am patient, nurturing and attentive, while also encouraging children to develop their independence and confidence at their own pace.
Building positive and trusting relationships with parents and carers is very important to me. I understand that leaving your child in someone else's care requires trust, and I aim to give parents reassurance through open communication, reliability and genuine care for their children.
My commitment to providing high-quality childcare was recognised with an Outstanding Ofsted rating in 2015. Above all, I take great pride in providing children with a caring, secure and enjoyable environment where they can feel happy, confident and supported.
My Qualifications
I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce, as well as a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Safeguarding Children training. I am also DBS checked.
I have completed a variety of workshops, training courses and webinars covering childcare, child development and children’s wellbeing. I’m passionate about continuing to learn and develop my skills so I can provide children with safe, caring and nurturing support.
My Availability
Availability
I currently have availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 7:30am to 5:30pm.
I also have a space available for an immediate start.
My Fees
- Childminding from £9.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour

Finley has the most wonderful time at Louise’s. She always made Finley very welcome and was very accommodating to our family needs.
She is very organised and provides a stimulating environment with lots of toys and activities. She keeps us updated regularly over WhatsApp with messages and photos of Finley’s day.
Louise often takes Finley out to libraries, parks, soft play and toddler groups. He has come on a lot with his development through the learning activities that Louise provides at home.
Louise provides healthy and tasty meals for Finley and it is clear that Finley has become more adventurous with his food choices. We have been so happy with Louise’s services and would highly recommend Louise as a childminder.

Louise has looked after my little girl for over a year now, and she’s been absolutely great. She has a lovely setting and an excellent garden for explorative play, which my little girl has loved. Most days, Louise takes the children out to toddler groups, soft plays or parks, which means they get a constant change of scenery and my little girl has always enjoyed telling me about the adventures she’s been on each day. With my little girl turning 3 in January we’ve decided now’s the time to send her to more of a pre-school setting to prepare her for big school - but it’s with a heavy heart, as we’ve grown incredibly fond of Louise, and will miss seeing her as part of our daily routine! Any child who ends up in Louise’s care will be very much loved, and I can highly recommend her as a childminder!

Louise is an absolutely excellent childminder. She has looked after our now almost 2 year old since he was 9 months, and we have been so pleased that she will be looking after our second child starting next year. She is warm and friendly, and my son happily runs into her house each morning to start play. She does a wide range of activities with them from toddler groups, to outdoor excursions and walks as well as fun creative crafts, baking etc. She has been accommodating regarding travel arrangements, naps etc. She communicates really clear and pays attention to child’s development - raising a concern for example about my son’s walking stride which is now being looked at by a physio - we have been grateful for her attentiveness in this. She has a lovely manner with the children she looks after. We get a book each day with updates as to what our son has been doing, and verbal communication at handover time too.

My son started with Louise in Sept 2023 when he was 16 months old and the past year he has come on in leaps and bounds, which I believe really is down to her! She does so many lovely activities with the children each day, including taking them out to National Trust places, toddler groups, soft play and making crumbles (my personal favourite!!). My son loves being in her care and he looks forward to going there every day. She goes above and beyond a standard childminder, running her setting like a mini nursery which is so lovely. We really believe we struck so lucky with her, thank you Louise 💖
