We are an Ofsted-registered mother-and-daughter childminding team based in Ashtead, offering a warm, safe, and loving home-from-home environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.
Our aim is to create a happy and nurturing setting where every child feels valued, secure, and confident to explore the world around them. We understand how important it is for parents to find childcare that feels like an extension of home, and we pride ourselves on building strong, caring relationships with both children and families.
We are now based in a spacious church lounge, which gives children even more room to play, learn, and grow. The larger setting allows us to create dedicated activity areas that support children’s development through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate experiences, all in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Although we have expanded into a bigger space, we continue to offer the same personal, nurturing childminding approach, with a strong focus on each child’s individual needs and interests.
Our setting is filled with exciting toys, books, sensory resources, and creative activities suitable for babies and young children of all ages. We provide a rich variety of experiences covering all seven areas of learning:
Communication and language
Personal, social and emotional development
Physical development
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the world
Expressive arts and design
Every day is carefully planned to include a balance of learning, creativity, play, and relaxation. We tailor activities to each child’s stage of development and interests, helping them build confidence, independence, and important early skills through play-based learning.
Children enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor experiences, including:
Arts and crafts
Messy and sensory play
Story time and singing
Cooking and baking
Small world and imaginative play
Outdoor play and nature activities
We also enjoy regular outings to local parks, toddler groups, libraries, and places of interest, helping children develop social skills, confidence, and curiosity about the world around them.
With over 20 years of childcare experience across nurseries, preschools, nannying, and childminding, we are passionate about providing high-quality childcare in a caring and supportive environment. In 2015, we were proud to receive an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
We know choosing childcare is a big decision, and we are committed to making every child feel happy, settled, and loved while giving parents peace of mind that their little ones are in safe and caring hands.

My Experience
While raising my own family — a daughter now aged 24 and a son aged 17 — I began childminding ten years ago. I continue to enjoy the role and have experience caring for children of all ages. Over the years, I have completed a wide range of training courses and qualifications to support my professional development.
My Qualifications
We are DBS checked.
We hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
We have completed Safeguarding training.
We hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce.
We have also attended a wide range of workshops and training courses covering all areas of childcare and child development.
My Availability
7.30am - 5.30pm Tuesday to Thursday
My Fees
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour

Finley has the most wonderful time at Louise’s. She always made Finley very welcome and was very accommodating to our family needs.
She is very organised and provides a stimulating environment with lots of toys and activities. She keeps us updated regularly over WhatsApp with messages and photos of Finley’s day.
Louise often takes Finley out to libraries, parks, soft play and toddler groups. He has come on a lot with his development through the learning activities that Louise provides at home.
Louise provides healthy and tasty meals for Finley and it is clear that Finley has become more adventurous with his food choices. We have been so happy with Louise’s services and would highly recommend Louise as a childminder.

Louise has looked after my little girl for over a year now, and she’s been absolutely great. She has a lovely setting and an excellent garden for explorative play, which my little girl has loved. Most days, Louise takes the children out to toddler groups, soft plays or parks, which means they get a constant change of scenery and my little girl has always enjoyed telling me about the adventures she’s been on each day. With my little girl turning 3 in January we’ve decided now’s the time to send her to more of a pre-school setting to prepare her for big school - but it’s with a heavy heart, as we’ve grown incredibly fond of Louise, and will miss seeing her as part of our daily routine! Any child who ends up in Louise’s care will be very much loved, and I can highly recommend her as a childminder!

Louise is an absolutely excellent childminder. She has looked after our now almost 2 year old since he was 9 months, and we have been so pleased that she will be looking after our second child starting next year. She is warm and friendly, and my son happily runs into her house each morning to start play. She does a wide range of activities with them from toddler groups, to outdoor excursions and walks as well as fun creative crafts, baking etc. She has been accommodating regarding travel arrangements, naps etc. She communicates really clear and pays attention to child’s development - raising a concern for example about my son’s walking stride which is now being looked at by a physio - we have been grateful for her attentiveness in this. She has a lovely manner with the children she looks after. We get a book each day with updates as to what our son has been doing, and verbal communication at handover time too.

My son started with Louise in Sept 2023 when he was 16 months old and the past year he has come on in leaps and bounds, which I believe really is down to her! She does so many lovely activities with the children each day, including taking them out to National Trust places, toddler groups, soft play and making crumbles (my personal favourite!!). My son loves being in her care and he looks forward to going there every day. She goes above and beyond a standard childminder, running her setting like a mini nursery which is so lovely. We really believe we struck so lucky with her, thank you Louise 💖
