Hello, my name is Sarah. I'm currently residing in Banbury, Oxfordshire, although I am originally from Essex. A few years ago, I made the decision to move to Banbury to be with my fiancée and his little boy, and it has been a wonderful experience so far.
I have been fortunate enough to accumulate over 8 and a half years of valuable childcare experience. Throughout my journey in the childcare field, I have had the opportunity to work in various settings and assume different roles. These roles have ranged from being a nursery practitioner and teaching assistant to providing one-to-one support. I have also had the privilege of being a room leader and even the head of SEN at a private nursery. My experience spans across different age groups, from caring for infants as young as 6 months old to working with children up to 12 years old.
In terms of my career path, I previously worked as a patient services deputy manager in a local GP practice located in Brackley, Northamptonshire. However, I recently made a transition to a more customer-oriented role. Currently, I am employed by the local council as a customer adviser. This change has allowed me to engage directly with people and provide assistance in a more personal manner.

My Experience
I have accumulated 8 and a half years of experience working with children aged 0-12 years, starting right after I completed college at the age of 16. My journey began with obtaining my level 3 in childcare, learning, and development during my college years. Throughout this period, I actively participated in primary schools and daycare settings, assisting children in their growth and development at their own pace.
Subsequently, I transitioned to working in a nursery, where I undertook various roles and responsibilities, eventually becoming a room leader.
In this capacity, I oversaw the learning and development of 25-30 children, ensuring I was well-informed about their progress. My journey continued as I took on the role of lead senco, focusing on facilitating a smooth transition for pre-school children moving on to school.
Additionally, I provided one-on-one support to a young boy with severe autism and developmental delays. In 2019, I relocated to Banbury, Oxfordshire, where I served as a KS1 Teaching Assistant in a primary school in Witney, Oxfordshire.
During this time, my interest in interventions and one-on-one support grew, particularly in the areas of numeracy skills and basic math knowledge for upper KS1 and lower KS2 students.
The onset of COVID-19 allowed me to further explore these interests by offering additional support to children at home through twice-weekly Zoom math sessions. These sessions were not only engaging but also provided a valuable opportunity for interaction. In September 2021, I made the decision to leave this role in pursuit of new opportunities.

My Fees

Monday to Saturday is £13 per hour, and Sundays are £15 per hour.
