We had a disappointing experience with this nanny, particularly regarding her reliability and communication.
Following three successful trial days caring for our eight-month-old son, we agreed that she would begin working with our family in October. We felt comfortable with her, believed we had found a suitable nanny and, on that basis, stopped searching for alternative childcare.
However, just three days before our return to London and her anticipated start date, I contacted her to confirm the agreed working days and times. It was only then that she informed me she had accepted another career opportunity that she could not turn down.
Whilst I fully appreciate that she was not contractually bound to us and was entitled to pursue other opportunities, I found the manner in which she handled the situation extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. She did not proactively inform us of her change in circumstances, and I am left wondering when she would have communicated her decision had I not contacted her first.
What makes the situation even more disappointing is that I have since noticed her advertising herself as available for full-time nanny work, five days a week, which has raised further questions for me about the transparency of her communication with us.
Her last-minute withdrawal placed our family in a very difficult position, leaving us scrambling to find alternative childcare with virtually no notice. Anyone who has searched for a nanny for a young baby will appreciate the time, effort and trust involved in finding the right person.
Although our experience with her during the trial days was positive, unfortunately, the way she handled our subsequent arrangement has significantly undermined our confidence in her professionalism and reliability.
I understand that circumstances change, but I believe that honesty, timely communication and consideration for families relying on childcare arrangements are fundamental qualities in a professional nanny.
I am sharing this experience so that other parents can make an informed decision when considering childcare arrangements.

First of all, if you think we have an agreement which i would call a commitment that you shouldn’t reduce the daily hours almost half of it! That is also unreliable and unprofessional to reduce my working hours without asking me if it is ok for me. You asked me to do less hours just 3 days before you come and i didn’t accept it. If you believe in we have an agreement that suppose to be for both of us. Not only for you!
That is not fair someone can make a review for my job only after a trial, that person who is reducing the working hours and asking me to do less hours.
Selda has been an incredible support with our morning nursery drop-offs. She worked closely with us to help prepare our 3-year-old son for nursery each day and ensured he was dropped off safely and on time. Selda was always punctual, highly reliable, and an excellent communicator. She kept me consistently informed about their whereabouts and shared any updates from the nursery team. Her trustworthiness and dependability stood out, and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

I highly recommend Bella who looked after my daughters. She is incredibly kind, patient and nurturing, and my daughter absolutely loved spending time with her. From the moment she arrived, she put my daughters at ease and made them feel comfortable.
Throughout her time with our family, the nanny was attentive and engaged, and always kept my daughters entertained with fun activities and games. She was also very proactive in keeping me informed about my daughter's day, and provided regular updates and feedback on how she was doing.

Selda is helping us now from 6 months. She is very kind, gentle, and calm nanny. She took care of my son from 6months to 1 year, helping through his sleep training process and setting the routine. She does the school run for my daughter (6year old) who loves her. Selda has been a lovely addition in our family and I was at peace that my son is in good hands while I am at work.

Selda is a very friendly and reliable person. She takes care of our 4 year old son who has special needs and she is doing an amazing job. She is very patient and calm, our son loves her and we feel very comfortable with her. She is a very positive and cheerful person and we’re very happy to have her as our nanny.

Selda was the sole charge nanny for my 10 month old twins for 2 months until my permanent nanny returned to work from covid absence. Selda was is very professional, cooperative and flexible. She took instructions really well, prepared meals, cleaned and organized the children's items and area, arranged play time as well as physical managed 2 teething and growing infant twins!! I ideally wanted to keep Selda longer if it wasn’t for my current nanny’s circumstances. Selda was always on time and flexible in case we returned home late from work. Selda is positive and kept my children happy, healthy and engaged.
