About Me
I am a 23 year old qualified primary school teacher who loves teaching and inspiring the children in my class to be the best they can be! My hobbies include baking, singing, playing board and card games, cooking and playing the piano and ukulele. I love spending time with children, especially when you can have fun together! I would consider myself to be kind, enthusiastic and responsible. Whilst I am working full time as a teacher I can’t take on regular nannying positions, but am interested in ad hoc work with people who would like a babysitter every now and again!
My Experience
I have worked as a nanny for a 5 year old boy and a 12 year old girl. I used my teaching experience to help the boy with his schooling and homework. I have also nannied for other families with children ranging from 4-13 years old. I spent 2019 working as a Teaching Assistant at a village school in Cornwall. I worked mainly in the Year 4 class, however have experience with all ages either at lunchtimes or in the playground. During my teacher training, I completed placements in local schools, working with Years 1, 2, 5 and 6. Also, I have helped on Christian summer camps with children from 13-17. I am DBS checked, and currently work full-time as a primary school teacher in Year 5.
My Qualifications
I have QTS (qualified teacher status) and received a first in my teaching degree. I have A Levels in English, Music and Religious Studies, and I have Grade 8 Singing, Grade 6 Saxophone and Grade 5 Music Theory. I also play the piano, guitar and ukulele in my spare time.
My Availability
As I am working as a teacher, I am usually free for evenings (as long as not up too late!), weekends and half-term or holiday dates. I have a car and full driving license, so can easily get to places.
