About Me

Hello, my name is Georgia. I am 22 years old and have been working in childcare for 6 years. I am currently a room leader, SENCO and ENCO at a nursery local to me, but I would love to be a nanny as I am passionate about looking after little ones and would like to offer more 1-1 care. I am very bubbly and patient and I would like to do long days with plenty of hours available. I am able to be flexible so can work around your job and commitments, but ideally I would prefer to do 3/4 long days in the week/weekend, to enable me a little bit of time to study for my degree. However, I would be open to discuss whatever works best for you.

In previous years, I have worked in a childminders, several nursery’s and also an SLD SEN school. I also like to think of myself as a fun and organised individual who only ever wants the best for children. I feel supporting the development of children is the most rewarding job to do.
I have a drivers license so I am willing to travel to you. I also would be happy to take any children on that go to school, as I would be able to do the school run for you but also do jobs around your house in the day if required.

My Experience

When I started to work with children, I was in a childminding setting and I stayed here for a year and a half. It is here that I gained my level 2 qualification in childcare and during my time at the setting I learnt how to carry out observations on the children, provide activities for different age groups and I also done the school runs at the local primary school. I looked after babies from four months old to children who were 11 years old and I also carried out my first aid and food hygiene training at the setting. I then went on to work at a nursery and became the deputy room leader of the toddler room. The majority of the time I would run the room independently and would organise regular parent's evenings, carry out risk assessments, assess the children and observe them, ensuring to implement in the moment planning for a child led approach and I would also set up the room to suit every unique child, but also ensuring the activities I provided followed the EYFS and the characteristics of effective learning. It is at the nursery that I gained my level 3 diploma in childcare and I also attended many training courses; some of these were safeguarding, prevent duty, british values, makaton, infection control, FGM, and in the moment planning. I then worked at a different nursery for a year in both the baby room and toddler room, but I then decided to leave to work at an SLD special educational needs school. At the school, I learnt how to support children with moderate to severe learning difficulties from the ages of 3-19 years and I also was a PA for a 13 year old boy with autism alongside this job.
I am now working at a nursery as a room leader, SENCO and ENCO, but would like to offer my 1-1 care to children instead so feel a nannying job would be perfect!
I hope to hear from you soon!

College
Level 2 qualification in childcare
Level 3 diploma in childcare

University

My Availability

I am currently working full time in a nursery, however, eventually I would like to become a full time nanny. If I am needed Monday-Friday, I would only be able to work a maximum of 6 hours a day with the availability for occasional baby sitting on Saturdays and Sundays. However, I would ideally like to work 3-4 long days throughout the week (including weekends) to enable me a little bit of time to study for my degree. Regardless of my degree though, I am still very flexible and will be happy to discuss and compromise with you . University is not an issue whilst I work as I am studying through the open university, so it is all remote learning. However, I will be graduating in 2024, so would be able to do more hours after this.
