Hi,
My name is Elicia Taylor I’m 39 years old, I live in a 3 bedroom house with a Garden and a playroom for all the children I care for. I live alone with my two daughters age 11 and 17 years.
My Experience
I’ve been a qualified and registered childminder for the past 12 years and was giving an outstanding grade from OFSTED in 2023. Before working as a childminder I was a Deputy Manager for a Nursery. I have over 20 years experience in childcare as well as being a mother.
My Qualifications
CACHE Level 4 in the management of Quality Standards in Children’s Services, NVQ Level 3, registered childminder, Safeguarding level 3, First aid trained
My Availability
I am only available to take on part time childcare at the moment as I work term time only. My setting is closed on Fridays, that being said please contact me and I may be able to adjust to your individual needs.

Our 6 year old has been going to Elicia’s for a few years and loves it. She’s always asking to stay longer. Elicia has been really accommodating to the multiple intolerances she has adjusting their evening meals so that she doesn’t miss out on anything. Elicia has her eating food she’s never tried at home with is a great step which we’re really thankful for. Elicia really makes her setting homely with loads of fun themed activities and the annual trip out which is always really fun.

Elicia has been my daughter’s childminder for 3 years and I couldn’t wish for a better childminder. Elicia understands children and knows what they need and when they need it. She makes them feel safe, secure and happy. Elicia reinforces what is taught in school and home in terms of academic skills but also important values such as friendship and kindness. The setting is equally wonderful ‘a home from home’ with a lovely playroom, outside play area and dining area for everyone to enjoy their meals together. The food provision is outstanding and my daughter often comes home telling me how to make carbonara, shepherds pie or chicken soup. Elicia’s communication with parents is excellent and includes termly overviews and daily communication when needed. Elicia also plans special outings to theatres, local parks, libraries and play centres broadening experiences and building confidence. We feel very lucky that Elicia and her family are such a big part of our daughter’s life.

We cannot recommend or give enough praise to Elicia's care and childminding:
-Elicia (and her daughters) provide an open, welcoming home with so many activities, so much fun and care for all children.
-Elicia plans for each child, giving them all positive experiences as a group, as well as focusing on individual interests for experiences.
-Elicia is nurturing and gets the best out of all children in her care.
-Elicia is a brilliant communicator, sharing updates and experiences.
-Our 2 children were with Elicia for over 6 years and we continue to miss her hugely, only moving on because of moving schools. She is a huge part of our children's growing up and lives and we would recommend her to any family.

Elicia cared for my child for nearly two years, and she was truly exceptional. Unfortunately, we had to make alternative arrangements due to our move, but we have never found anyone who could match her abilities. Elicia not only cooked delicious and nutritious meals, but she also created an engaging and nurturing environment for my child. Her genuine care and attention, combined with her commitment to providing a safe space, set her apart. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Elicia in our lives and highly recommend her.
