my name is Susan Old, I have been childminding since 19th January 1999. My last Ofsted inspection was 11th Octo-ber 2018, my provision was graded 'Good' in every area. I live with my husband and I have three grown up children,. (And 5 grandchildren) I have public liability insurance and home and car insurance that are suitable for the purpose of childminding. I am a Pacey Registered Childminder working in the delightful town of East Harling, .WE have been checked by e Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) (previously Criminal Records Bu-reau CRB check). My aim is to offer a home from home warm/safe and friendly environment I work from my home I have a large, secured back garden this give the children lots of outdoor play. The children have lots of various ride on toys a large wooden shed which is there play house, a large little tykes climbing frame with 2 slides plus lots more toys. Children's Indoor games & toys are fun and educational I also do other activity’s e.g. Bak-ing/painting play dough Circle time music My setting is a learning caring environment; providing a range of both child initiated and adult led learning opportunities. It is a caring environment for the children in my care. I offer a full service to all families and children, and it may be possible for me to care for children with additional needs I work close-ly with every parent to meet the individual needs of every child in my care. I enjoy taking the children out on walks, trips various outings to local parks indoor play areas ducks &ducks, .I take and collect children from my local school/nursery school the school is East Harling primary, I offer a safe, happy and warm environment for all chil-dren and parents are welcome to visit at any time. ‘I am honest, reliable and have good time keeping and organisational skills’ I believe in working in partnership with parents to meet all your child's individual needs and to maintain their normal routine.
I decided to become a childminder as I enjoy working with children and the years spent raising my own children mean I have gained experience of stimulating young children, both in the home and out which I think makes me ideally suited to childminding. I was a regular helper at my local playgroup and nursery at the setting there are no animals
My Experience
The experience I have is being a mum for the past 35 years and a registered childminder for 21 years. I work closely with parents/carers keeping them informed of how their child is settling in and activities we do during the day. I work closely with the local primary school and pre-school.
My Qualifications
have a certificate for ico Food Safety in Catering Level 2, Paediatric First Aid, which also covered epi- pens ,Safegauarding Children DBS checked Pacey I hold a clean driver’s license,
