About Me
I am a Nanny with more than 10 years’ experience working with children. I have a first class BA honours degree in Acting and Performance. I also have a full disclosure under the PVG Scheme of Scotland. As a nanny I am fun, confidant, creative, engaging and have lots of energy. I have the ability to build a relationship with any child regardless of age, culture or language. The children I have looked after trust and respect me; I allow them the freedom to express themselves in a safe and rewarding environment.
As well as this i tend to create good relationships and lasting friendships with the parents. I think this is key to communication and working along side the parent. I think this is helpful with building trust when being invited into the intimate environment that is the family home.
My Experience
In the last four years I have been working as a freelance Nanny with families of different sizes and needs. The ages I have looked after ranges from 10 weeks old to 12 years of age (although mainly under fives). In this job I have covered potty training, sleep training, reinforcing good food habits, weening children off of dummies and bottles and of course play and imagination. My method as a nanny involves play, communication, distraction, trust, love, and clear boundaries that provide a safe space to be imaginative and explore. I have built up an excellent reputation working as a nanny and this work has taken me to families all over the world ranging from LA, New York to Australia and London (I can provide full references on request).
Since graduating in 2015 I have worked in the arts as an actor however, as a means to support myself, my work has naturally gravitated towards drama, education and children. I love working with children and young people and I am good at it which is why I have accumulated so much work in this area.
Since 2013 I have worked with a company called Cool Scot Tours on a freelance basis. In this work I deliver workshops with non-English speaking teenagers using drama exercises and games as a means to teach English.
In 2011 I did similar work to this where I spent 6 months working in Schools in Italy with Smile Theatre. Here I did weekly workshops with 10- 15 year old children complete with a show directed by myself to help improve English.
I have also worked a lot over the years in Theatre and Education. This has included performing and delivering workshops all over the UK to primary and secondary school children covering themes from anti-bullying to road safety.
Overall I am very experienced in the field of play and children, which I think is an essential part to the work of a nanny.

Rebecca recently babysat my notoriously picky and hard to please son and he absolutely adores her. As a child who doesn't like meeting new people he warmed to Rebecca almost immediately and sang her praises in the morning when he woke up about what a caring, loving, attentive babysitter she is.
Rebecca put my mind at ease as this is the first time I hired a babysitter since moving to Glasgow by giving me a text to say everything was fine and I felt very confident in her care of my son.
Incredibly polite, friendly and approachable I will definitely be using Rebecca in the future for babysitting!
