My name is Amanda I am an experienced child carer of 23 years, offering OFSTED registered childminding services for children from 3 months to 3 years, school holidays with the exception of Christmas. My aim is to provide a fully inclusive and enabling environment where children can enjoy and achieve, learn strategies to self regulate their emotions and respect each other. I follow the early years foundation stage regulations and will ensure that all children in my care are following EYFS curriculum.
A typical day includes story time, singing, nursery rhymes, musical games, playing outside, baking, arts and craft, outings to various parks and other play areas, libraries, farms, shops and other areas of interest.
I want to help children to understand and experience the awe and wonder of the world around them.
My Experience
I am rated GOOD 2021 by Ofsted. 22 years experience working with children of all ages. Including raising 3 children of my own. I have worked in an outstanding children's home for 5 years caring for young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have worked in primary and comprehensive schools as a TA and in pastoral care. I am a safeguarding lead, full paediatric first aid qualified. I have been trained in behaviour management, attachment difficulties, epilepsy, sexualised behaviour, administering medicine, speech language and communication needs,bullying awareness and self harm.
I hold a full enhanced DBS certificate
special educational needs level 3 diploma
NCFE CACHE level 3 working in home based childcare (EYFS)
Advanced level apprenticeship in children and young people's social care

8.00am - 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.30 per hour
I can assist with setting up tax free childcare for 20% off and provide invoices in order to claim 80% off via universal credit

My son has been with Amanda for over two years, and I honestly couldn’t recommend her and her home-from-home setting enough.
Throughout his time with Amanda, she has helped him grow so much in confidence, development and communication. She has always been incredibly understanding and has shown my son so much genuine love, care and patience. It’s clear that she really cares about each individual child and takes the time to understand their personality and needs.
I’ve always received regular updates and lovely pictures throughout the day, which has given me so much reassurance and allowed me to feel involved in his time there. Communication has always been friendly, professional and consistent.
I also love the variety of experiences Amanda provides, including days out and child-friendly activities, giving the children opportunities to learn, explore and have fun outside of the setting.
Amanda is such a warm, funny and caring person, and her setting truly feels like a home away from home. Knowing my son is happy, loved and well cared for has meant everything to me as a parent.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Amanda to any parent looking for a nurturing, caring and fun home-from-home environment. ❤️

My girl was 6 months old when I went back to work. Finding the right person to look after her was very important to me. I met with Amanda and she made me feel so at ease and has a lovely home and all the paper work we wanted to see ready and waiting for us. Lydia has settled in so well with Amanda and I get pictures while I am at work which makes me feel so much better. Would 100% recommend.
