About Me
The name of our childcare setting is Coull Cubs Childcare. We are based in Old Harlow, just a 2-minute walk from Harlow Mill Station, making us a convenient and accessible choice for local families.
My mother and I have worked together over the last 6 years, building a beautiful, nurturing childcare environment where children feel safe, loved, supported and encouraged to thrive. We are both passionate about caring for children and feel we have so much to offer the families within our local community.
After many years of creating and developing our childcare setting from our family home, we are now incredibly excited to begin our next chapter and open Coull Cubs Childcare from my new home in September. This is such an exciting time for us as we are currently creating an amazing new nursery space and garden play area, thoughtfully designed for children to enjoy, explore, learn and make wonderful memories.
Our new setting has been created with children at the heart of everything we do. Our beautiful rainforest-themed nursery provides a welcoming, homely environment where children can feel comfortable, confident and excited to learn. Our new outdoor play area will give children the opportunity to explore nature, be creative, develop their physical skills and enjoy plenty of fresh air through outdoor play and learning.
We have carefully chosen resources, activities and experiences that support all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including both the prime and specific areas of learning. We love creating fun, engaging opportunities that encourage curiosity, independence and development. We also enjoy regular trips and adventures outside of the setting, giving children exciting experiences and opportunities to explore the world around them.
We are both Ofsted registered childminders and work wonderfully together as a team, providing a safe, loving and supportive environment where children can flourish socially, emotionally and educationally throughout their early years journey.
We are both fully trained in full paediatric first aid, safeguarding level 2 and level 3, and have many years of experience working within childcare. We provide healthy, nutritious home-cooked meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, ensuring every child feels cared for and well supported.
At Coull Cubs Childcare, we pride ourselves on creating a setting where every child feels valued, loved and encouraged to learn, grow and shine. We are so excited for this next chapter and cannot wait to welcome new families into our beautiful new home-from-home setting this September.
My Experience
My mother and I have a wealth of experience within childcare and share a true passion for providing children with the very best start in their early years journey.
I have previously worked within nurseries and have successfully run my own childcare practice for over 6 years. During this time, our setting has become extremely popular with local families, creating a wonderful reputation for providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel happy, confident and supported.
My mother has also been a qualified childminder for the past 6 years, alongside having a lifetime of experience caring for children. From raising myself and my brother to always naturally supporting and caring for children throughout her life, she brings a wealth of love, patience and understanding to everything she does.
Together, we make a strong and dedicated team, combining our experience, knowledge and passion to create a warm, welcoming and inspiring childcare environment.
After many years of providing childcare from our family home, we are now incredibly excited to be opening our beautiful new Coull Cubs Childcare setting in September. This new chapter allows us to continue growing our vision and provide children and families with an amazing home-from-home environment, including our brand-new nursery space and garden play area designed especially for children to learn, explore and create wonderful memories.
We both hold NCFE CACHE Level 3 Awards in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare, as well as LSCB Working Together to Safeguard Children Level 2 training awards and LSCB Designated Safeguarding Lead Level 3 training awards. We both hold full paediatric first aid training awards and have full UK driving licences.
Our experience, qualifications and genuine love for childcare allow us to provide a safe, caring and enriching environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to learn, grow and shine.
My Qualifications
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Awards In Preparing To Work In Home Based Childcare, we also hold LSCB training awards in Working Together to Safeguard Children Level 2 and LSCB training awards in Designated Safeguarding Lead Level 3. We both have full paediatric first aid training awards and are fully DBS checked
My Availability
Our setting will be open from 7.30am-5.30 Monday to Friday
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
We charge £75 per day (which covers up to a 10 hour day), we also accept childcare vouchers and funded hours

My daughter has been at Coull Cubs for nearly a year now, Char, Jan and Scott are all so caring abs fun abs very accommodating. My daughter loves her days there full of arts, crafts and creative days. There’s always a fun new theme to learn and my daughter has improved all her social and interpersonal skills greatly since joining! Homely and educational- they have a great balance in a lovely setting.
