About Me
This is a long-term position for an experienced, warm, positive and responsible nanny to care for two girls aged 10 and 13. The primary focus is on the younger daughter, ensuring her day-to-day needs are met, while providing a supportive presence for the older child as she develops independence. The role also includes light housekeeping and family cooking.
Native-level Italian is highly desirable.
The position is of a mixed responsibility which will involve light household connected to the children and food preparation duties whilst the children are at school. The position will be part-time and extends to the school holidays as well.
We are looking for someone who can offer a long term commitment to ensure stability for the children.
Excellent communication skills are essential as is the need for flexibility, mutual respect and transparency.
Working Pattern
- Term time: Afternoon/evening hours (e.g., 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm)
- School holidays: 2 full days (e.g., 8:30 am – 6:30 pm) and 2 part days (e.g. 12:30 - 18:30)

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Childcare
- School pick-up and safe transport home or to activities
- Overseeing homework and ensuring assignments are completed
- Organizing creative and stimulating activities, particularly during school holidays (e.g., art, play dates, cooking, outdoor projects)
- Encouraging good manners, confidence, and independence
- Providing light supervision and companionship for the 13-year-old
Household Support
- Laundry and ironing of children’s uniforms and clothes
- Tidying and organising children’s bedrooms and play areas
- Changing bedding weekly
- General light housekeeping as needed to maintain an orderly environment
Cooking
- Preparing healthy, balanced family dinners (experience with Italian/Mediterranean cooking preferred)
- Involving children in cooking or baking during the school holidays
Candidate Requirements
- Kind, caring, and responsible with a genuine love of children
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Prior experience as a nanny or family assistant with similar-aged children
- Good cooking skills
- DBS check and strong references
- Ideally Italian
