About Me
We are an American family living in London with three wonderful daughters: Magnolia Dixie Jean Russell (8), Ryeland Montgomery Jean Russell (5), and Azalea Georgia Jean Russell (3).
Our home is full of curiosity, conversation, music, storytelling, creativity, and movement. The girls are thoughtful, inquisitive, highly verbal children who love learning about the world around them. Whether it’s a dance party in the kitchen, drawing at the table, writing stories, listening to music, putting on plays, or spending time outdoors exploring nature and the city alike, they approach life with imagination and enthusiasm.
Magnolia and Ryeland are both in school full-time, while Azalea attends school half-days until September, after which she will also begin full-time school. We are seeking a full-time nanny who can become an important and steady presence in the girls’ lives and someone who values learning, kindness, curiosity, discipline, and structure in equal measure.
The girls are involved in a variety of activities and clubs including karate, judo, swimming, chess, cooking, and more, so we are looking for someone organized and dependable who is comfortable managing schedules, school collections, and taking the children to and from their various classes and activities.
Mealtimes remain an important part of our family culture — a place for gratitude, conversation, manners, and connection. The girls are adventurous eaters who enjoy a wide variety of foods, and we value warmth, politeness, and togetherness in our home. Making food from throughout the former soviet union is a plus: Borscht, Chebureki, Plov, Pelmini, vegetable salads, etc.
We are raising our daughters to embrace diversity, appreciate different cultures and experiences, and move through the world with confidence, empathy, and respect for others. We believe children flourish best with consistency, order, encouragement, and loving guidance, and we are looking for someone who can help support the girls in becoming grounded, capable, and open-hearted young people.
Our hours are currently 8am–7pm until September. From September onward, the hours will transition to approximately 11am–7pm once all three girls are in school full-time.
We live in SW5 and are hoping to find someone warm, engaging, capable, and genuinely invested in childhood development and exploration.
